Remember?
Sherlock S5 should start with John in his therapists office again and her saying "the things you wanted to say but didnt say it... say it now." and john responding "Yeah, look i'm getting to it* and then we follow their cases with the overlying plot of John working up the courage to ask sherlock out and the moment we least expect it it would instead be sherlock who confessed.
I think actually one of the wildest parts of November 5th 2020 (if any can be narrowed down) was when you would very occasionally see an entirely unrelated post. Like somehow there were some people blogging about just normal shit that night and it was like standing in a costumed rave that was on fire and then just seeing one person completely calm checking emails. And all you could think was How can you not be seeing this???
also remember when graham lestrade caught the bank robbers IN THE ACT on the FIFTH time
7 years of bad luck
guys, i was just introducing my little sister to bbc sherlock and we were watching tab when she told me something, and it shocked me.
so in tab, there is this moment where the invisible army breaks the glass, or we can think about it as a mirror. they broke a mirror. that's when my sister reminds me of this: you know what we say about a broken mirror in superstition?
SEVEN YEARS OF BAD LUCK.
what if we had those seven years?? like instead of bad luck it was silence, lack of resolution. they gave us seven years where we knew the truth but we couldn't have it.
tab aired in 2016. 7 years later and you get 2023.
we're in 2025 now. the curse has been lifted.
it's like we have been punished to discover the truth too soon. but now we can have it. i know it's just a theory, but i want to believe in it.
BBC Sherlock Season 5
The Final Problem was released 8 years ago.
Yes, I still believe in S5 or any other piece of media that might be created by Mofftiss to explain what the hell happened in S4.
Do you believe in S5?
Yes, I believe we'll get a new season
Yes, but I don't think it'll be a full new season. Maybe a TV special
No, I don't believe at all
No, I wish I could forget this TV show that broke my heart 8 years ago

has anyone else noticed that what was previously 221b on instagram is now sherlock.escaperooms? this says to me that there was some quibble over use of the 221b brand on social media. this is…certainly a good sign, no?
Hi Steph,
I hope you're doing well! You're one of the first blogs I ever followed on here and I really appreciate what a welcoming and kind space it is <3
I was wondering if you'd heard of this:
https://www.cbr.com/sherlock-creator-addresses-movie-plans/
And whether you think they have any serious intentions or if he's just giving us false hope...
I'm not taking it too serious but I'm curious about your opinion of a come-back in general and what you think it could look like.
I'm a bit confused about what he means by movie since the episodes were already movie length.
I wish you all the best👋

Hey Charlie!
Yeeeeeeaaaaahhh I saw it in passing and I KNOW people come here having hope and such, but I'll be brutally honest... I don't think it's going to happen, at least not for a LONG time. After S4, both Ben and Martin seemed done with Sherlock AND both have VERY busy schedules with both individual and Marvel projects, so yeah. I dunno. At this point though, I think it would be wise to either retcon S4, make it retirement, or just leave it alone.
But I feel like the odd duck out here and will probably have all of y'all hate me, but... I really don't think they SHOULD continue on, just leave well enough alone. S4 ended without a cliffhanger and I reallly do think it's because Mofftiss got bored of the series and just... didn't want to leave it hanging (even though S4 brought on so many more plotholes).
I've talked about my thoughts on a new season here. But a movie and acting like S4 wasn't the shitshow it was? Yikes. And yeah I was confused about the movie quote too, but I think they meant like a modern-movie-length, which is about 2 to 3 hours nowadays. And if that happens, I'd be happy if they corrected S4. But wishful thinking.
Again, I think well enough should be left alone.
Sorry, Charlie, if that wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but I don't want to give people false hopes. I'd LOVE for Johnlock to happen but yeah at this rate, I don't think BBC Sherlock WILL be Johnlock.
But I'll be happy to be proven wrong. For now, I'm quite content having fandom.
