Bleak crimson like dried blood sparked in Persephone's eyes. "I won't let you hurt them."
She lifted her hand, fingers extended like claws. Red Nova's swarm of black and red shot forward like a thousand wasps and consumed Demak. His body disintegrated into ashes in the wind.
But when she stepped towards Rua and Ruka, they answered with horrified scrambling back. Persephone could see the accusation in their stricken faces: "This is all your fault!"
"You don't understand!" she roared, and they flinched. Her pitiful response lodged in her throat: I never meant for things to turn out this way.

"That can't be true." Kiyoko hated hearing the pitiful crack in her own voice. The giant gear spinning below them tossed iridescent Moment over her and Antinomy. (Bruno. Though she denied it, she knew those eyes.) "Because if it is, then this disaster and Ark Cradle- This is all your fault!"
Antinomy/Bruno considered his visor. The aura he radiated was quiet and contemplative, so opposite from Bruno, who spilled his every thought. The pair was separated from Team 5D's; the silence between them was as tense and thick as all their unspoken words.
“I know," he whispered. "Now help me."

Tears streamed down Aki's face. She fell to her knees beside Divine's broken body. Between sobs, she said, "This is all your fault!"
Sherry and Mizoguchi exchanged glances. The true murderer, a fallen slab of Arcadia's roof, rested nearby. Sherry cleared her throat. "Let's stop pointing fingers and start finding a solution."
Aki shot to her feet and palmed Black Rose Dragon. Tendrils laden with thorns thrashed around them. Aki roared, "The only solution is an eye for an eye!"
"If this is how you want to play," Sherry murmured, activating her own disk, "let's make the whole world blind."
