Kate didn’t know how it happened really, she found herself waiting at Nikolai’s house for him to come home. She got herself situated on the couch when she found herself feeling parched. She went into the kitchen and looked for something to drink. While she didn’t find juice, or tea, she found a full bottle of whiskey. Her shoulders shrugged and she grabbed the bottle and walked to the couch. She began drinking from the bottle.
Several hours later, Kate heard the door open and she sat up, and threw the blanket over her. Knocking the nearly empty bottle on the floor. “Nik!” She shouted before standing up. The logical way to get to him was by walking up and over the couch, landing on the backside with a stumble and a laugh. “You’re here! It took you life forever to get back.” She spoke with another laugh
Nikolai had agreed to a blind date tonight with the granddaughter of the nice elderly woman who lived across the street from him. He would have never accepted such an offer if it wasn't for how earnestly the proposition was presented to him in the first place. The date went well enough, he supposes; but he doesn't think either one of them made much of a lasting impression on the other-- at least not in a romantic sense. So, they left their date outside of the restaurant and wished each other a good night, and that was the last of it.
Of course though, him being who he is, it is almost impossible for a night of his to go too smoothly-- and here he stood watching a drunken girl stumble across his living room because of said curse. " Fuck...… Kate---" he mutter under he breath as he walked to her and offered out his arms for support; hoping she would make it onto her feet. " Let me take you to bed. Come on." Nikolai has never seen the young woman inebriated in such a way, and eyeing the bottle that now laid on the floor he figured at some point tonight he would be holding hair as she clutched to a trashcan.
