I'm making this post in hopes that someone with more experience can help me out where I'm just starting out, from what I understand about tarot readings is that you ask a question and you take the cards' meanings and put them in your life. The reading layout I did was a peek behind the cyclops' eye ( I have a nightmare before Christmas theme deck and this is what the guidebook calls it.)

Hopefully, I will be doing this right.

The question asked:

Why/does my grandmother hate me?

Card 1: II of Presidents (reversed)

Meaning: you're struggling to manage your time, money, or energy and it's starting to affect you negatively. If you have too much on your plate, revalue your comments. Analyze your experiences and cash flow, delegate tasks, and make meaningful changes that will create balance in your life

My take: I'm not sure how to tie this card in, the guidebook that the first card of the layout is my current perception of the situation

Card 2: V of candles (reversed)

Meaning: while upright V of candles tells of conflict with others, that fractions become internalized when the card is reversed, are you feeling at war with yourself? Are you struggling with a tough personal decision? Don't be hard on yourself and trust that things will work out in time

My take: the second card is to show the nature of important hidden aspects of the Situation. I've been struggling with my feelings for my grandmother when I was younger whenever telling someone whatever fucked up thing my grandmother had said or done to me I would always say that I loved her because she's my grandmother but now I can't even say that anymore.

Card 3: X of needles (reversed)

Meaning: when reversed, the painful end indicated by upright X of needles is stalled. Don't put off the inevitable, dragging it out will make this harder. Make a clean break and move on to new better things

My take: this card is the last card of the layout and its advice. Not gonna lie I'm taking this as Support that it would be for the best that I cut my grandmother out of my life and that I should do it sooner than planned. (Plan was to do it when my grandfather passes or when (if something happens to her) my mom passes)
