Scepter Hall Institute was an academy residing within the lost island of Nevermore — An island crossed out of most of the maps in Twisted Wonderland.
The academy was large, far larger than the likes of Night Raven College and Royal Sword Academy. So much so, that it wasn't much of a surprise that it took up the space of an entire island.
Originally, the institution resided within the grounds of Briar Valley. It wasn't called Briar Valley back then, however… After a certain incident, Scepter Hall lost a great deal of connections.
Most of what was left of the original campus was so desolate that it was practically impossible to repair it with magic. That much destruction required quite a sum of power to be repaired, and Eclair wasn't ready to risk anything after what happened in ‘The Attack’.
So, with the assistance of a little magic, they found the island of Nevermore, way back when it wasn't crossed out of the maps.
But, with so much space and only eight dormitories to care for, Eclair needed much more assistance. And she felt it was too hefty of a task for students.
In walks, the Wardens.

↳ 『 Who are the Wardens, and what do they do? 』
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The Wardens are the leading caretakers of all eight dormitories in Scepter Hall Institute. In total, there are four Wardens, with two dorms each to care for.
➜ The Wardens guarded the seasonal domains of Nevermore Island and were chosen for the simple fact that they were the best qualified for the job — Intellectually, and magically.
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The Wardens are the third highest authority in the academy. The first being Eclair, the second being Madam Maryse.
➜ Due to the constant scheduling of certain errands for the headmistress and her secretary, students often go to the Wardens to not add to the stress Eclair and Madam Maryse have to put up with.
➜ In a way, the Wardens act as ‘the dorm leaders’ for each of the dorms.

Since I haven't done much content on this ship, I've written Silver's thoughts on Lilia's potential romance with Scepter Hall's head secretary >:)
Meeting Marylin
Silver met Madam Monroe when he was but a small little toddler
Marylin often visited when she was given a day off from her duties as secretary to Eclair, and her visits brought great joy to Lilia and Silver
When she first laid her eyes on Silver, she was a little concerned
Marylin didn't have a problem with human children, but she felt a bit worried when Lilia said that he adopted Silver
Mostly because of the bad blood between faeries of the Briar Valley and mortals
"Are you sure it's safe for the little one to be raised in such an environment??"
"Fufu, not to worry, my darling Marylin. Silver's in good hands." ^^
Hesitant, Marylin decided to help Lilia raise Silver whenever she can
Unbeknownst to her, he and Lilia familiarized her as his mother-figure
When Eclair first found out about Marylin raising a human child, she was as concerned as she was when she first learned that information
But after a while? Eclair insisted that Marylin can take long-term breaks after working overtime so she can take care of her "child"
Silver would often crawl to Marylin whenever she stepped into the house, and Lilia couldn't help but silently squeal at how adorable his son was
They were practically a family
An unofficial one, but a family nevertheless

Silver's 16th birthday
This was the last time Silver saw Marylin before he arrived at NRC
During the time of his 16th birthday, Marylin had been working relentlessly and couldn't visit as much, even when Eclair insisted that she'd take a break
And even though he didn't want to admit it, he desperately wanted his mother-figure to attend his birthday (Not that he'd say anything to Lilia about that)
Regardless of his concerns, Silver asked his father if his "mother" was going to attend his birthday
And Lilia awkwardly answered with uncertainty, a clear signifier to Silver that even Lilia didn't know if she'd attend or not
As the days went by until his birthday, Silver slowly began to lose the fragments of hope he had for his mother-figure
And then his birthday finally arrived
As happy as he was, Silver was still a bit saddened since he assumed Marylin was too busy to attend the party
Until the door slammed open and revealed Marylin with a concerning amount of weaponry for presents
But the presents didn't matter to Silver. It was his mother that mattered.
Biological or not, Silver always recognized Marylin as his mother because of the kindness she had given him over the years
He refuses to admit that he cried tears of joy when she showed up
Silver ended up enjoying the party even more, and that was largely evident solely for Marylin's presence
Lilia couldn't help but cackle when Silver stiffened up every time he opened Marylin's gifts for him
The party was a memorable one for sure
But it didn't hold a candle to the first birthday Silver had with Marylin

Present-day
They continue to keep in touch with letters, much like Marylin with Lilia
Whenever Silver writes down his troubles, she'd always send him an encouraging response with a couple of advice to help him with any issues he had
He'd often try to crack a joke or two in his letters if he believed his mother was having a bad day, since he just wanted her to smile. Even if he couldn't see it
Marylin would frequently put small gifts into Silver's letters, specifically jewelry like a ring with his initials engraved on it
Lilia finds it adorable that Silver almost always wears that ring whenever they go out together
Some students assumed Silver was engaged but were much more surprised to learn that the gift was from his "mother"
But there was one time Silver mixed up his letters with Lilias and... It was awkward and slightly traumatizing
Silver was waiting for the response to his letter from Marylin and saw that her messenger bird had arrived with a letter on them(But it was actually for Lilia)
And let me tell ya, opening and reading the letter was one of the most traumatizing experiences Silver's ever had-
The flirting, the romantic subtlety in the writing style, THE INNUENDOS?
Silver couldn't sleep for once because of how traumatized he became
When Lilia finally received the letter, he almost laughed to death when he found out Silver read it
He ended up telling Marylin about it and even though he didn't witness it, he was very aware about how amused she was by that
She apologized to Silver for traumatizing him-
To put it simply, his relationship with both of his parents(Marylin's title as his mother is unofficial but Lilia is legally Silver's adoptive father) remains unchanged and they couldn't be any happier
Author's note: This is basically my equivalent of a Christmas special, and I need to make content of my beloved fanschool eventually ^^ the prologue's still in the works, but that's to be expected when writing a story. If this isn't good, I'm really sorry ^^||

The planning
Scepter hall's four realms festival is considered a very prestigious event, especially in the winter season since the festival is at it's most exclusive during that time
Forêt geleé was ecstatic to help with the decorations, this is the event where they don't need to worry about melting after all
Eclair was rather solemn with the planning, this festival in particular was her favorite. Why? Well, it's hosted by the dormitory that her husband was once the head of
Nowadays, forêt geleé is run by Clark, who handled the preparations wonderfully
Meryl also wanted to help, and ended up spending some time with Madam Monroe and Lilia while the preparations were in order
Though, Meryl can't help but question what kind of relationship Lilia has with her godmother
Lilia and Monroe: *Basically flirting*
Meryl: When are you gonna kiss?
Lilia and Monroe:
Madam Monroe definitely tried to tell Meryl that she and Lilia aren't like that but it was unsuccessful on her end-
It's not like Lilia DENIES it tho-
Claudette was a little conflicted about the festival, since it was basically a monochrome masquerade ball instead of an actual festival
It wasn't like she was against it, she just felt awkward when she has to refer to it as a festival since... It doesn't really feel like one?
Finnigan was busy scheduling and preparing the security measures for the event, so Clark ended up having to bother Ambrosia and Brooke (Much to their chagrin)
.... Clark was almost drowned by Ambrosia in the eauxclaires dormitory tho, he probably annoyed her too much XD
Brooke also threatened to attack Clark with his animals, but to Clark, it was an empty threat compared to the attempted murder Ambrosia did to him-
To put it simply, everything was running smoothly
The dorms were excited for the event and the celebration of the new year, the staff made sure nothing was out of order for it, and Meryl was happy because the decorations were pretty :D
Clearly the last one is the most important. Meryl's opinion is above all (⌐■-■)
Hell, Eclair was less solemn by the end of the preparations and was genuinely feeling rather giddy about it
She may be grieving her husband's supposed death, but this event is still her favorite one. With or without her husband in it.
So really, it was smooth sailing for everyone

The days of the 'festival'
It's still a bit chaotic in traditional Scepter Hall fashion, but it was still smooth sailing for them so they didn't really care
Everyone looked spectacular in their winter themed masquerade clothes, especially Magnijardin and Forêt geleé. They practically stole the show with how elaborate their outfits were
Meryl wore a simple white tea dress with light blue ribboning that complimented the dress really well
As for Eclair, she ended up wearing the most simplistic outfit compared to everyone else. A sleek, yet simple black blouse that matched well with her equally as sleek white suit
It was classy, sleek, and also showed authority over everyone else despite the simplicity of it
Madam Monroe snuck Lilia in, alongside Sebek, Silver, and Malleus
Malleus was practically ecstatic when he was invited to such an illustrious event
Mercury kinda had to be held down, since he didn't expect, nor want, a Draconia to be in his presence
Finnigan kinda just told him to let loose and have fun without worrying about Malleus, so Mercury did just that to clear his head
Meanwhile Clark and Ambrosia were practically hammered after having a concerning amount of shots
Claudette was hyping them up, but was still worried for her wife

A suspicious white owl
Warning: Kinda contains a key part of SHI's main story
With Brooke, he chose not to be with the rest of the staff since he really didn't like the cold environment no matter how beautiful it appeared
So he was just outside the venue, and making sure no one broke in on his side(The guards Finnigan hired were handling the other side)
Brooke didn't really do much, to be completely honest
He was just conversing with his animal friends(the ones who weren't in hibernation), and discussing their plans for the new year
Then, Brooke felt a random yet familiar presence and advised the animals to flee just in case.
When they did, Brooke was ready for whatever fight he might have to go through
Imagining Neville Longbottom with his fists and trying to threaten Harry and his friends just so they don't get Gryffindor in trouble
But he... Didn't fight at all. In fact it felt like there was no suspiciously familiar presence whatsoever
Instead, Brooke caught sight of a white owl perched onto one of the snow-covered trees
What made it even stranger for Brooke, was the aura that was emitted from the owl
It.... Didn't have the aura of any typical winter owls, or any owls in general
.... It was almost like it wasn't even an owl to begin with
Brooke, somewhat disturbed by this revelation, tried to approach the owl as best as he could
Which failed, since the owl just flew away when Brooke was getting just a little closer
Brooke was a little freaked out, so he just went back inside to tell Eclair about what happened
Which also resulted in failure
Eclair was busy enough as it was and merely assumed that Brooke was hallucinating, completely ignoring whatever he had to say
At that point, Brooke just felt tired and told everyone that he was gonna go to sleep back in Animania
Everyone respected his wishes and wished him a good night's sleep

A heartfelt speech
After Malory's disappearance, it became an unintentional tradition for Eclair to give a heartfelt speech about how his disappearance affected her and others
And somehow, it tugs at everyone's heartstrings every time
For this year, this was the first time Eclair actually teared up giving the speech
In previous years, she would look sad, somber, and filled with grief.
But she wouldn't shed a tear
This year was different.
And seeing their headmistress shed so many tears reminded some students that she's still a 'person' with emotions, not some heartless dignitary
Meryl actually ended up crying alongside her mother, which only further increased the rate of sadness that filled the atmosphere
It felt almost uncomfortable.
In an attempt to switch up the current mood, Finnigan suggested to just have fun and... Basically worded it like they have to completely ignore what Eclair said during her speech
He's trying his best, he isn't really the best in social situations
As the partying continued, Eclair decided to doze off for the night and left her daughter under the care of Lilia and Monroe

The ending of the event
When the so-called 'festival' ended, everyone was anticipating the new year
Some were excited, others were scared, and some couldn't find a reason to care
Meryl bid Lilia and his unofficial children goodbye and was already a bit sad that she can't play with her quintessential godfather anymore
Naturally, before he left, Lilia assured Meryl that he'll find time in his schedule to play with her again
This also means she has to witness him and her godmother flirt
Clark continued to tease his cousin for her obvious romantic affection towards Lilia, but she simply disregarded it and claimed their relationship was simply platonic
All in all, the four realms festival ended on a satisfying note
And those within Scepter hall anticipate the new year with open arms
Having known each other prior to the adoption, Briar and Eclair's relationship only continued to flourish after the awkward tension of the trial
Usually refers to her as "Mother"
I'd imagine that Briar unintentionally called Eclair "Mother" by pure instinct before the adoption even happened
Regular tea sessions in order for Briar to settle down from all the stress she could be having
Briar admits that she always saw Eclair as a mother figure, more so than she ever did with Eletha
Eclair's ready to say some... Not-so-child-friendly words to those who still talk down on Briar, even after knowing how much she's been through
When it comes to noble gatherings where the family has to come together, Eclair always has a hand on Briar's shoulder as a form of security and assurance
Any nightmares Briar has? Eclair's willing to listen to whatever she wants to say and has sleeping herbs that'll help her ease up when sleeping
Honestly, Eclair already knew Briar's food preferences (as she had told her prior to her possible transfer to Scepter Hall) and made sure the food during lunch was to her liking
Due to Eclair's favoritism (that she never admits), If Briar attended SHI, she'd have a 30 minute late pass during class hours
Meryl, Stepsister
They already acted like siblings before the adoption, so honestly their bind just grows stronger
Meryl calls her "Bree" because it reminded her of when they first met, and she didn't know how to properly pronounce "Briar"
Meryl's probably the reason Briar's late to class(if she attended SHI) because MAN, she's good at messing with Briar's head regarding time when playing tag
Has been scolded by Briar and Eclair multiple times for swearing
However Alison was the one who ended up influencing Meryl
Always eats the cookies during tea time. It's basically her equivalent to scones
Someone's trying to hit on Briar? Well, they'll need to get through her SISTER first >:^
And by that, I mean Meryl just manipulates the suitor by being absolutely fucking adorable
At some point, Meryl tried befriending Aurus, but her attempts never worked because of Aurus and the way he was raised
Malory Khione, Stepfather (?)
Honestly? Briar never knew Malory personally
The only things she knew of him was the fact that he's Meryl's father, and was Eclair's husband by proxy. And maybe a few offhanded facts, but that's honestly it
She never really chooses to ask Eclair about him since she's aware how much it hurts her to remember the disappearance of her husband
Briar also felt bad for the fact that Malory went missing right before Meryl was manifested by Eclair's wish, knowing full well that Meryl would never be able to meet her father(... Or will she?)
She makes sure to be especially respectful in Forêt Gelée since it's the only dorm that's had their original founder up until the modern ages until Malory's disappearance. Leading the next dorm head to be Clark
Scepter Hall Institute, A magical institution exclusive to Fae, fairies, elves, nymphs, and other mythical creatures residing within Nevermore Island.
The academy is run by it's esteemed Headmistress, Eclair Ciana Hollow. A renowned rune reader and prophet who ran the academy since it's opened it's doors to the magical world.
The academy has 9 8 dormitories, representative of the fairies that came before them and their many talents and virtues. All of which, are run by the staff in order for the students to not have any form or pressure and having to live up to such standards.

˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The founder was said to be one of the most beautiful fairies alive, with a penchant for herbology and the discovery of wild plants. Eclair honored their legacy by allowing their favorite wildflowers to inhabit the academy
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The dormitory colors are Magenta, Gold, White, and several shades of Pink. However, the uniforms(dormitory uniforms included) are customizable, especially in this dormitory
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ Students in this dormitory tend to excel in herbology and etiquette classes and are usually from more wealthy backgrounds [ Though that isn't to say all students are from wealthy backgrounds ]

˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ Situated in the academy's hall of portals, lies the portal to Magnijardin's dormitory building
The archway is made of cherry wood with vines and all sorts of rare wildflowers.
Walking through the archway leads you to encounter a small table with a vase above it. The vase itself is made of marble, with the emblem of the dormitory at the very center.
As for what's inside the vase, are flowers. Enchanted to such a degree that the appearance of those flowers depends on who is looking at them.
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ Plucking a petal from the flower, and crushing it with your hand, will allow you to be surrounded by poppy petals and be teleported to the outside entrance of the main building of the dorm

˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The building itself is a castle-like structure with a couple of integrations built into it that makes it a mix of a castle, a dollhouse come to life, and an oversized cottage
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The bedrooms will be customized to fit the student's preferences, and all pieces of furniture are enchanted to help make the customization easier
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The dormitory uniforms are customizable, however they're mostly meant to be similar to something out of a fairytale(specifically the girls)

˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The dormitory was founded under the careful grace and extravagance of the fairies of water
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The founder was said to be the pinnacle of carefulness, and each step they took looked as though they could step on a field of daisies, and they'd remain untouched
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The dormitory colors are varying shades of Blue, Green, Turquoise, (enchanted to not harm fairies) Silver, and White. The uniforms, however, are as customizable as the rest of the dormitories
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ Students in this dormitory tend to excel in marine biology, dance, and incantations
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The students are encouraged to be more confident and accepting of themselves, while also encouraging others to do the same
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ Most known as the dormitory of dancers, Eauxclaires' dance performances are enough to prove to Magnijardin that they aren't as elegant as they believed. Leading to a mostly playful rivalry between the two dorms
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ The dormitory caretaker is Amaryllis, the Warden of Summer. Amaryllis is soft-spoken but honest in just about everything, and excels in alchemy and marine biology.

The archway is bedecked in seashells, some engraved into the marble, some from the ocean. Alongside those seashells are crystals that give the feeling of raindrops.
Walking through the archway leads you to catch sight of an average-sized puddle of water. And you can just barely see a path of stairs inside.
