I swear if we have to get westplained again on the Tizon essay Pls stop trying to speak over actual Filipinos who actually know our own culture. We know our culture and the realities of it but you can not draw direct parallels between ours and the US' history NO ONE IS SAYING THAT WHAT THE TIZON FAMILY DID IS RIGHT. I think one of the greatest feelings in the world is staring to be consciously aware that you are actively working on your faults and being a better person than you were before. It lowkey sounds like tooting your own horn but it's a good feeling nonetheless. Seeing you're improving as a person is a really happy feeling
