Meg kept her head down as she ducked around the corner of the busy street, instead walking down the quiet side street. It was amazing how much contrast there was between the two streets. She let herself rest against the brick building with a sign for lease in the windows. She thought she heard someone turning the corner and let her minute of rest come to an end, continuing on the quiet road.

Picking up a book, he suddenly distracted by a girl nearby. Somehow, he smell something was burning, even though there's no fire in sight. "Excuse me." He scooted over. "You're not human, are you?"
