We need to point out any racism in media, and also the racism within fandoms. Racism in fandom spaces and media thrives in the silence - and by not talking about it we are normalising it. But by speaking about it, we are breaking that silence and we can tackle the problem. Whitewashing is colorism. I recommend checking this article and read about it. We can't let brown and black characters keep getting white washed, we need to break the silence right now.
