I put the Nine outfit together for a skit we did at Opening Ceremonies for Shikacon - our Ninth Doctor cosplayer started out on stage, then mid-introduction ran through a door towards Dalek noises, then I ran up on stage as freshly-regenerated Ten-in-Nine’s-clothes. It was a blast, and the audience loved it!

How I saw Shikacon
Shikacon was my third anime con in Tennessee (after MagmaCon and ConNooga), so I'll say what was good and what could have been better. UPS: - the navigation was easy. After all, the benefits of a small con! - lots of nice people! (as with any convention) - the venue was interesting. - an awesome cosplay contest! And the amount of detail that went into the cosplays too. :) What COULD have been better: - if there were a Smash tournament. I love Smash 4 online, however, so I'm used to not being in tournaments all that much. And, the DOWNS: - the fire alarm went off at 11:30 PM and scared the crap out of me. I almost had an anxiety attack! Then I found out: there was a smoker in one of the convention rooms. Conclusion: It's a great convention if you prefer small cons over large cons, but I believe the safety for the convention could improve. But regardless, with the good things I mentioned above, a good experience. OVERALL RATING: 7.5/10

Hooray! Good job Shika! First you don’t do a good job advertising and cause there to be very few people at the convention, which means the artists I came with have barely broken even. Now. I’m soaking wet in the rain. It’s 11:50 pm. And I’m not in my room because of another fire alarm. Something tells me I’m not coming back. Assuming they have it next year.
