“Hold on just a moment!”
Her tone was far less polite or amiable than the words themselves, but she spoke with her usual business tone. Direct, pretentious, and assuming. However, the woman she spoke to had a certain air about her as well that made her cautious. Olga Marie had her position and status well in mind as was normally the case, right along with the frustrating fact that it meant very little in a place like this.
Still, she held up the folded leather in her hand as she spoke with a tone all too telling of her upbringing.
“You should be more careful about where you put your wallet. If you’re going to drop it, you should make sure there’s nothing important in it.”
“By the way....have we met somewhere before?”
