He was perfectly content to sit on the park wall, wings half spread to help keep his balance. Ah, but he could feel someone’s eyes on him... “You can ask questions, if you want. I’m not gonna get offended.” Roy knew he was weird. It was pretty routine at this point. Might as well get this out of the way.

Few enjoy the favor of Sesshomaru’s mercy. But those who do are almost unilaterally children.  

So it’s with an impassivity almost serene that the inu daiyoukai passes the small dark-haired boy who is older than Rin, but slightly smaller than Kohaku. 

He muses to himself, a little wanly, that he seems to be collecting human children like a pied piper. 

A distinct scent--familiar by its very foreignness--gives him pause. 

    “You.  You reek of strange things, things found in great cities upon the mainland.  But something else.  Like Inuyasha’s companion from a distant land beyond the Bone-Eater’s Well.”

He turns fully to face the boy.

    “Explain yourself.”

“Well, no…” He got her there. “But it doesn’t mean that you didn’t!” Indignant, she crosses her hands over her chest, frowning at him. “I’ve worked hard to get where I’m at, and to only be treated like any old person is annoying. I know I’m not near where Sango, Miroku, or InuYasha are, but I’ve come a long way!”
