The Hermit in Reverse: When has your character felt the most alone?
Efren gives Shiloh a sheepish look. To every question of hers, he offers such serious replies, and this will be no different. “After my father’s will was read. When he gave everything to his widow ( @odelynv ) instead of me. Stripped me of my birthright, my legacy, the company…”
He smiles slightly, mirthlessly. “And she kept it. And offered me a job there. A job at the company that bore my name.”
“I have never felt so small as in that moment, and that’s in a lifetime of being told to be small.”
( @efren-sorenze )
A handle of whiskey is delivered to the household for Jovan. Only a small note is attached to the neck. "Happy father's day! You're gonna need it!!"
“Heh,” he says while reading the note. His smile tugs up on one side while he looks over the label. Upstairs, a fight that has been brewing all morning reaches a fever pitch, and Tirsa lets out a furious cry of, “Get out of my ROOM” to someone who responds with tears.
His second ‘heh’ is less amused, and he tucks the handle under his arm to keep it close while rushing inside to mediate the latest disaster.
(Shiloh!) Check out this stuff by a local group, they aren’t bad
