Shina Peller defect to Accord from APC He wrote; Earlier today on the floor of the house of representatives, I announced my defection from the All Progressives Congress to Accord Party. After my exit from the APC, we engaged other political parties, we had numerous options, but we opted for Accord for very peculiar reasons. Accord party happens to be the first party in Oyo state to zone Oyo North Senatorial ticket to Oke Ogun considering that Ogbomosho Zone had done two terms. The party has shown an unwavering commitment to the yearnings of the people of Oke-Ogun. It has given us hope and a sense of belonging. In Oyo State, the Accord party is a force to reckon with, it's internal democracy mechanism is intact, a component lacking in other parties. Accord party is also strategic as it concerns balloting. On the ballot paper, Accord comes first before the two major parties. With Accord as our party, voting sensitization becomes easier for us to do. Today, I would like to inform the general public that I am now with Accord party. The logo of the Accord constantly reminds me and other well meaning Nigerians of their civic responsibility - to vote for credible leaders. In Oke-Ogun, Oyo North Senatorial District and Oyo State at large, Accord Party is our strength, it's logo is our thumb - it's our power and we shall make it count. #wemove #accord #shinapeller #mycelebrityandi #politics https://www.instagram.com/p/CfFIYKaLOBO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Shina Peller dumps APC, to announce new party soon A member of the House of Representatives from Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Shina Peller, has dumped the All Progressives Congress. The lawmaker announced his defection on his Twitter page on Friday. He added that he would be announcing his new party on Tuesday after due consultations. Justifying his defection, Peller claimed that “the party style of democracy in Oyo State kills my conscience”. He added that his continued stay in APC would be at the detriment of interest of his supporters, particularly the youths. He wrote, “I’ve tried my best for APC, the party style of democracy in Oyo State kills my conscience and I’ve to put my people’s interest first. I’ve realized that the youths and the people will continue to be at the mercy of few at the top. I’ll announce my new political party on 21|06|22.” There had been several rumours that the lawmaker would be defecting from the ruling party after he lost the Oyo North Senatorial ticket of the APC to Senator Fatai Buhari. #shinapeller #apc #politics #nigeria #mycelebrityandi https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce6lR1eL8PI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Shina Peller's reason for not running for House of Representatives for a second term.. @shinapeller *Why I Chose not to contest for House of Rep for second term* Many people wonder why I chose not to return to the House of Representatives for the second term. For the sake of integrity, my decision is based on my consideration of other local governments within my constituency- Kajola and Iwajowa who haven’t presented a representative for almost 16 years now. Returning to the House for the second term will mean denying them the opportunity to present a representative for twenty years. By 2023 when I will be completing my first term as a member of the House of Representatives, it will make it sixteen (16) uninterrupted years that Iseyin/Itesiwaju have been producing representatives for the constituency leaving out the people from Kajola/Iwajowa. My people from Kajola/Iwajowa feel the people from Iseyin haven’t been fair enough to them in this regard, and I share their pain. This was why I made up my mind to throw my weight behind choosing a qualified person from Kajola/Iwajowa to represent our federal constituency in 2023, while I am yielding the call of my people from Oke Ogun to opt for the Oyo North Senatorial District seat. And I cannot be seen leading the liberation of Okeogun people and not fair to the local govts within my Constituency. So, to those that feel I should return to the House of Reps, it’s not all about me alone; it’s about putting into consideration my integrity and overall interest of all. #OyoNorthSenatorialDistrict #shinapeller #mycelebrityandi https://www.instagram.com/p/CeUgqC7IZTO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I have been overwhelmed with calls and messages about the posters scattered across the country indicating my interest to join the presidential race. For clarity and to properly respond to unanswered questions, I deem it fit to address those concerns. I have been visited by various youth groups calling on me to officially declare for the highest office in the land. They say Nigeria deserves a young, energetic, innovative, detribalized and dynamic leader who is successful in both public and private life to lead the nation. Truly, Nigeria needs the kind of leadership these youths groups are yearning for. A leadership that can foster national unity, and ensure inclusion of women, youths and persons with disability. A leadership that can create and drive a system that functions for all, and not selected few. I align myself with the clamours of the youths for a better Nigeria. I align with their courage, doggedness and youthful determination for a vibrant person to lead. Northern youths in particular have demanded that I join the presidential race scattering Shina Peller for President posters across the country. As Nigeria is at crossroads, the nation needs politicians and leaders who can make sacrifices at this crucial time. More so, it will give meaning to the Not Too Young To Run bill that was signed by President Muhammadu Buhari a few years ago. A bill that has since paved the way for young people to contest elections in Nigeria. However, the struggle for a better Nigeria shouldn't be about individual ambition but about collectively redefining the destiny of our great nation. It is for this reason that I have chosen to work with my party to ensure only a candidate who can provide the desired leadership emerge out of the primaries. Collectively, we must work to achieve this, not leaving out the youths who are critical stakeholders in the nation - party leaders must ensure they are carried along in all deliberations. As the 2023 general election approaches, let's continue to put Nigeria first before ethnicity, religion and politics. God bless #Ayedero @shinapeller #shinapeller #mycelebrityandi https://www.instagram.com/p/CchEKd2KVWq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
