Im so exited to post this! Ive spent like 3 weeks on this and I’m so happy with it. For future chapters itll just be line art since I bit off more than I can chew with coloring in everything. It simply takes wAy too much time. Regardless, I think this is a really strong start to introduce my fluffy shindeku au. :)))))
ahh fey, so Midoriya finds a strange box while exploring the house (a new home? an old family home he went back to? who knows) and opens it to find a bottle with melted wax holding the cork in. There seems to be a faint glowing orb floating about and he's obviously curious if a little cautious, up to the point he standing around staring at it and he realises its still dimming, as if the Thing inside is slowly fading away, at which point all Common Sense flees and he opens it. The Wisp immediately flees for the woods and that's the last Midoriya sees of it for months, POOF it gone.
Except as the year turns towards winter he starts seeing floating lights in the woods, and he may be cautious for a little while he's gonna end up following it. because of course he would.
which leads us to Shinsou, who had been trapped with that bottle and had taken being freed to escape away and try to gain back some of the power he'd lost. However once he'd healed from being trapped he'd felt obligated to owe Midoriya, because he'd technically freed him and saved Shinsou's life. (He also has Shinsou's name whether he knows it or not and that's Bad News considering that got him trapped,) and that gives Midoriya way too much power over Shinsou to be comfortable, so yeah he kind of wants that back please.
Midoriya has no idea about the name, he's sure he doesn't have it, but he also wants to befriend the shit out of the sad, kind of weak spirit that had been stuck in the basement for Gods know how long.
This leads to a back and forth of Midoriya trying to befriend Shinsou and nearly getting stuck in the fey realm a good few times because for all he missed giving his name by like luck, he's clueless. there's a big hit to the progress when Midoriya finds the bottle again and reads the name stuck to it out loud, Shinsou appears to the call of his name (Midoriya had been calling him something like "purple" or "wisp" up to this point) and Midoriya stating that "oh that's your name"
Welp now Midoriya has Shinsou's name, and he has no idea about the 'giving it back' thing? if he can even do that? so that leads to a bit of a problem in his friendship mission.
it probably ends with Midoriya helping Shinsou after pointedly refusing to use his name to order him about, Shinsou getting called by Midoriya when he gets attacked by (insert something dangerous here) and showing up even though Midoriya hadn't made it an order. and then Midoriya giving Shinsou his name so they're even, after finally going and reading a damn book about the fey, instead of just following Shinsou's vague guidelines
