"I think you like me" he whispers in your ear, making you freeze on your spot, the click of the door he just locked behind you resounding in your ears. He leans back only a little and faces you, head tilted to the side and mere inches away from yours. He's got you trapped, literally, between him and the door.

You can only stare at his lips, determined not to look into his eyes and let him see he's right.... but then he smirks and pushes your head up with a single finger on your chin.

"I think you liiiiiike me" he chants playfully, fully aware that you're at his mercy, his sparkling eyes piercing through yours. You can feel yourself shaking with excitement and close your fists in an attempt to calm yourself down.

"I think you li-"

"Shut up" you cut him off with a harsh kiss, and he is quick to move his hand to the back of your neck when you attempt to move away, keeping you in place, while his other hand on your lower back flushes your body into his.

He breaks the kiss to look at you with a smug look on his face, so before he can say anything else you grab him by his shirt and kiss him again, this time softer, enjoying the way his lips feel on yours. You graze your teeth on his lower lip and, as he opens his mouth, slip your tongue to immediately find his. He tastes like that mint gum he's always chewing and you let out a moan you automatically regret, but he clearly enjoys, based on the way he deepens the kiss.

You loosen the grip on his shirt to place your open hands on his chest and move them down his stomach and feel his abs, now voluntarily whining at how fucking ripped he is. His chuckle gives you the courage you need to hook your fingers in his waistband and tug to push him even closer to your body, surprised to feel he is already getting hard.

You raise your eyebrows at him and he responds by scrunching his nose and grabbing your ass.

"I think you liiiiike me" you mock him, diving into his lips again.

the atmosphere of the club is oddly calming. your body swaying, eyes closed as your head naturally tilts back, face toward the ceiling. the music is bass heavy, but not in a nauseating sense. you're actually very at ease.

when the song dips into an almost eerie yet sensual bridge, you feel strong pair of hands rest at your waist from behind. body instantly melding with your own. an enticing voice vibrates in your ear, causing you turn to get a good look at whom the delicious sound belongs to.

another word can't even be said once your eyes meet. none other than the lyrics you both are now singing to each other. your blinks are slow, willing his eyes to solely remain on your face. often trailing down to your lips.

they do, however, slip down to see your all black outfit. "I did a damn good job choosing this." a giggle escapes you as you continue dancing and you shake your head, "we're meant to be strangers."

he gives you a half sheepish half unbothered smirk, "screw the roleplay, my mind is on how you were just on those delicate little knees for me just an hour ago."

heat courses through your body when he pulls you flush against him. here you thought you could have a spontaneous roleplay rendezvous but your passion for one another overrules any thought of a script. "say..do you want to get out of here?"

the question is of cheeky courtesy, but he smiles and chuckles as he leans down giving your bottom lip a nip. "you do know we're not making it home, right?"

a sharp breath leaves you at the thought of pulling beneath a streetlight. the possibility of someone driving past and seeing your bodies in a fit of passion excites you.

If there was one person who you envied in this world, it was Choi Minho. Not only was the man attractive and effortlessly successful, but he had also always beat you at everything. School, sports, life achievements, and just naturally growing up - it felt as if the fates had blessed him with the easy route whilst you had to work for it.

But not this time. You would not lose to Minho again.

“Jude isn’t some prize to win, Y/N,” your best friend Margo pointed out as you glared across the club where Jude and Minho sat together, the former breaking into a laugh at something Minho said. You downed a shot, growling lowly at him yet again getting in before you could do anything about it.

“I know she isn’t,” you confirmed, your eyes not leaving the pair. You felt a pang of disappointment when Jude’s hand gripped onto Minho’s bicep, his handsome smile brightening up the room.

And darkening you further.

“What’s your plan then?”

Glancing away from the pair, you cocked your head to the side to look at Margo. “Plan?”

“Minho’s got his A-game on. How do you plan on snatching Jude out from under his nose? He won’t let a single moment be spared now he has her for the night. You should have heard him last weekend when it was you and Jude cosying up over there together.”

Flashes of sweet touches and intimate conversation filled your mind, and you warmed instantly, as if you could feel the heat from Jude’s body again. You had spent the whole night with her and ended up on the club’s main floor, dancing provocatively together and enticing more than just Minho eying you both. After one too many drinks, you had drunkenly giggled your way through some heated kisses outside her apartment, pressing her into the wall with need.

You had been sent off with the promise it wouldn’t be the last time you’d be flush against her. However, with the way she was all but sitting in Minho’s lap, you wondered if Jude had forgotten the depraved sentiments she had breathlessly groaned into your ear a week ago.

You stood suddenly, spurred on by the repeated murmurs in your head, marching over to the loved-up pair. Whilst Jude grinned at you, Minho’s grimace was what made your smile grow.

“Y/N. How untimely it is to see you tonight.”

“Minho,” you replied with a curt nod. “Ever the gentleman.”

“I aim to please,” he muttered into the drink he picked up.

“I’m so glad to see you tonight, Y/N,” Jude announced, reaching out with a hand for your face, caressing it gently before standing up.  Her eyes eagerly flicked to a message that came through on her phone. “Can you keep my seat for me? I’ll be right back.”

“S-sure,” you agreed, glancing at the death glare Minho was giving you behind Jude’s back before he smiled as she turned to press a kiss onto his cheek. She then pranced off and got lost in the throes of the club.

You slumped into the chair and took Minho’s glass to gulp a long drink from it. “Excuse me, I wasn’t done with that.”

“Well, you are now, buddy. Off you go.”

Minho’s eyebrow rose. “You think finishing off my drink will signal my time over here is done? Try again, Y/N.”

“She kissed you on the cheek,” you mentioned, watching male pride bloom over his face as he smirked. You nodded nonchalantly. “How sweet.”

“And you suppose Jude will do more than that with you?”

It was your turn to glow. “Has, you mean.”

“What?” Minho’s sharp gaze stumbled momentarily before he smoothed his expression to indifference. “Whatever.”

Sidling closer to Minho, you ran a hand up his perfectly sculpted arm, his eyes watching your teasing hand intently. Finally cupping the side of his neck in your hand, you leaned into his closest ear, exhaling breathily for effect. You felt him stiffen and shudder. “You should have seen how pretty Jude was when I had her pressed up against the wall outside her apartment.”

Minho swallowed. Shifted in his chair. Inhaled deeply. Finally, he turned his head and caught your eye. “Liar.”

Emboldened by how he was acting, you slid a thigh over his lap to straddle him, trying not to revel in the gasp you drew out of him in the process. You were certain he had stopped thinking when his hands moved to your hips and held you down into his groin. It was you who exhaled shakily at this, waiting for his competitive nature to kick in and throw you off the game you were playing.

The fire between you was always stoked and ready to burn, but this smouldering heat from different from the usual burn.

Recovering before he broke out of the stupor you had placed on him, you braced your hands on Minho’s shoulders and grazed your lips over his neck. “Was it like this? Her lips on my neck moaning prettily?”

You shifted and felt his arousal press into you, your eyes darting to his. They were molten, stuck on yours, waiting to see what you did next.

“Oh, now this is exactly what I was hoping to happen!” a gleeful tone cut in, breaking the spell you were both under. Scrambling out of Minho’s lap at Jude’s return, you flushed with embarrassment. You hadn’t ever thought of Minho in the way you had just been experiencing. Whilst you had no issues finding either gender attractive, you had always been put off by the competition between you to acknowledge the simmering heat between you could burst into passionate flames.

“Y/N was just trying to… Oh, you have a friend with you?”

Looking at the man wrapped around Jude’s body, you became confused. Who was he, and why did she look so content in his embrace? He stared down at her with eyes that only a lover would give in public like that. You couldn’t help but hear warning bells go off.

“This is my boyfriend, York. He’s been overseas for a month and just got back in today. York, this is Minho and Y/N, the couple I was telling you about. I think they might like—”

“Your boyfriend,” Minho cut in with a small laugh. He sounded slightly unhinged, and when you looked at his face, you saw the crush of being too late for anything invade it. Whilst you were mutually disappointed at the fact that Jude had led you on, you commiserated that you hadn’t been alone with that either.

You were both at a loss here.

Jude nodded. “We’re committed to one another, but we practice an open relationship too. We were wondering if you’d like to join us.”

“Oh,” you mentioned, blinking a few times. You felt Minho’s gaze on you. He had quickly recovered and was trying not to laugh at your stunned response to the invitation. Your lips twitched, but you merely said, “oh” again.

“You know, I think we’re good here, right, Y/N?” Minho answered, still holding your gaze a moment longer before politely smiling up at the pair. “But thanks for the opportunity.”

“Suit yourselves,” York replied with a shrug, scooping Jude up and all but carrying her out of the club. You both watched them leave, stunned into silence.

And then a bubble of laughter rose from within and escaped. “That just happened, right?”

“I believe so.”

“Not that there’s anything wrong with exploring more than one partner at the same time,” you told Minho, who arched his eyebrow again, calling you out non-verbally. You chuckled. “Okay, for you and I—”

“It’s got to be just us,” Minho finished, holding your stare again. Your humour died off as you got lost gazing at him, soaking in all that had been in front of you all this time. Without thinking it through, you slipped your hand back to his neck.

Minho’s hand gripped your waist as he leaned into you. His eyes slipped to your mouth that parted to take in a shallow breath.

“Are you sure, Minho? We’ve been enemies forever.”

“Maybe I’m tired of competing against you,” he murmured, his mouth inching closer to yours. You were sharing the same breath now. “Maybe I want to see what it’s like to be with you instead.”

“Are you sure you can handle the heat of that, Minho? I’m not going to hold back if you do.”

“I’ve been burned by your sting one too many times to retreat,” he admitted, challenge swirling with the lust now blazing his eyes. You whimpered as you slipped back onto his lap, bringing yourself flush against his upper body.

Running your hands through his hair, you marvelled at how right this felt. Especially when his lips ghosted yours, drawing out a moan from you with the lightest of touch.

“I want more than the sting, Y/N. By the time I’m done with you tonight, you’ll be engulfed in flames.”

You honestly couldn’t think of anything better.

"Never have I ever wanted to kiss someone from this group"

You roll your eyes at Tiffany and drink, hearing someone shouting "too easy" before everyone starts laughing. You think to yourself they are fucking right, the room is filled with good-looking people all around and not a single person left their glass untouched, her included.

She smiles and looks at you before moving on. "Never have I ever wanted to fuck someone from this group"

A smirk creeps up your face before sipping on your drink again, eyeing Minho while you put it down. You are pleased to see him eyeing you back with his hair still a bit disheveled, and you can feel your cheeks burning slightly. What you fail to see, though, is Jinki witnessing the whole situation, eyebrows suddenly knitted together.

You've known Tiffany since middle school, and have been friends pretty much from the first day of classes, glued together ever since. It was only a matter of time before you both decided to be roommates, and that's how you ended up befriending Jinki: they have been attending the same drama class for a while until they were casted as the leads for a musical. Long rehearsal days made you worried she wasn't eating properly so you went out one night to bring her some food, but the group was so welcoming you ultimately went every other day to support (and sometimes feed) them all.

Jinki was the first to stand out to you, not only because he was the lead but also due to his sweet voice that captured your musical-lover heart in no time. He was just as sweet as he sounded, super friendly and easy to get along with, so it only took you a couple of weeks to feel comfortable around him and to become good friends.

But if you had to be honest with yourself, Minho was the one you really had eyes for: tall, dark and handsome, but most importantly hot as fuck, overall exactly your type. But unlike Jinki, he was impossible to get to know: when he wasn't performing, he was engrossed in his phone and didn't really talk much with anyone, and as much as you tried, you never got more than a yes or no out of him.

Months passed and the musical was long over, but the group stayed in touch often. Tiffany was always the first to offer her house for any gathering, so you winded up hanging out with them more often than not, like tonight. Minho and Jinki were among the first to arrive, and you were surprised when Minho openly complimented you. "You look beautiful today, y/n" he had said, looking you up and down. You opened your eyes wide and chuckled, trying and failing to hide a smile forming on your face. It was certainly odd seeing him so cheerful, and it wasn't until Tiff took you apart and told you he had broken up a few weeks ago with his rather toxic long-time girlfriend that it all made sense. He had since been taking better care of himself and going out more, and you were probably biased but you could see him almost glowing, like never before.

Needless to say, you were captivated by him: he was a down-to-earth guy who was passionate about sports, charming as hell and easily amused (especially by Jinki's lame jokes, when he would laugh loudly and even clap). It didn't take long for you to start actively flirting with him, touching his arm here and there after a joke, and casually choosing to sit next to him while drinking and chatting. You were careful to see if he responded though, but he was not shy of touches either, dropping his voice a bit lower when talking to you and staring into your eyes in a way that made you stutter from time to time.

As you were laying on the couch watching him and some other people play a card game, you took your phone out and did a quick search for his Instagram, fumbling with your fingers until you found the courage and started typing.

"You are an open book tonight, I like it" you DMed him, and looked up to see him smile while reading your message. He typed quickly and left his phone on the table, yours buzzing instantly.

"Wanna go somewhere more private to read? ;)"

You bit on your lower lip and made eye contact, only to see him smile shyly and blush a bit.

"My bedroom happens to be super cozy and quiet... it's the door right next to the bathroom down the hall, wanna take a look?" you asked

"You seem distracted" you suddenly heard Jinki saying, and it took you a good two seconds to realize he was talking to you.

"Oh, am I?" you asked, not even looking at him. A slight nod from Minho to you had you all excited and blurting out an "I forgot something in my bedroom" while standing up and leaving.

You hurriedly reached your bedroom, half-closing the door and peeking through the opening until he showed up. You whistled quietly to get his attention and gestured him to get inside, swiftly closing the door after him.

You leaned back and looked up at him. "Hey" you whispered.

"Hey" he whispered back.

You reached for the lower part of his shirt and tugged to pull him closer; he complied and smiled before closing the gap and kissing you, his hands carefully cupping your face while yours were already on his sides. It started sweet, tasting each other eagerly but softly, trying to get a sense of each other's style; it was also a rather smiley kiss, neither of you unable to hide your content.

While your lips were busy with his, your hands moved under his shirt to his abs, humming when you felt how in shape he was. He gasped and grabbed your wrists,"your hands are cold" he whined in between kisses, pushing your hands away and your body against the door. You tried your best to laugh as quietly as possible, but when he moved to kiss your neck you had to bite your lips to stop you from moaning. You reached again under his shirt and dig your nails on his skin just a little, a quiet groan leaving his lips.

You kissed again but urgently this time, his hands now gripping your waist while flushing your bodies together, and yours buried in his hair. You could have indulged in him all night long, but you were fully aware of the fact that you would have to go back to the party sooner rather than later.

"We should go back" you managed to say, barely breaking the kiss to speak

"Only if you promise we'll do this again sometime" he finally answered once his lips were free from yours

"Definitely" you smiled

One final steamy kiss later he was leaving your bedroom with swollen lips and blushed cheeks, and you looked no different 3 minutes after when you rejoined the party. Tiffany was quick to notice both of you and gave you a congratulating look, squeezing your hand while sitting you down next to Jinki with a glass of who knows what, forcing you to join the ongoing drinking game they were playing.

You snort and push the glass away, mouthing an "I'm out" to her, the crowd laughing nervously while looking at each other to see who was drinking. You take your phone out of your pocket just as the screen lights up with a new message from Minho.

"Dinner on friday?"

You smile at your phone while typing a quick "yes!", and feel Jinki's eyes piercing you.

"What?"

"I feel like I'm learning so much about you today" he jokes, raising an eyebrow

"Oh, shut up" you elbow his side and chuckle.
