He comes in every day.
Shinya would love to say that he only knows this because he recognizes all of their regular customers—and he does, of course—but any of his co-workers would be the first to say that this man is different.
He only drinks speciality drinks—something new every day—and then he sits in the farthest possible corner of the coffeeshop and pulls out a laptop and a sketchbook. He’s very serious, even more reserved, and he has this odd allure to him, which Shinya cannot even begin to try to explain.
His co-workers seem to have their own ideas, however.
“You’re totally smitten with this guy, Shinya-san,” Mito remarks one day, after the man in question has ordered a seasonal latte and sat at his regular table. “You should just go get his number and stuff!”
“I’m a professional,” Shinya stresses. “I can’t just go up and ask a customer for his number, you know.”
She doesn’t look very convinced, though.
About a week later, it is Goshi who says something about it:
“Well, just draw hearts in his lattes,” he suggests. “He’ll get it eventually.”
“That is so creepy.”
“Only if you make it creepy!” Goshi insists, far too brightly for the statement.
And yet it is very difficult to argue with that logic, Shinya thinks.
Really, the only one who says anything of any real value is Guren.
“You could talk to him a bit more,” he says dryly, wiping down the counter at the end of their evening shift on Friday. “I mean, whenever he orders, you don’t even say, like, good afternoon to him. He probably thinks you’re really unfriendly.”
“He’s kind of intimidating,” Shinya mutters, pausing as he counts the cash in the register.
Guren laughs. “I knew you were a damn coward.”

Pairing: Hiiragi Shinya / Hiiragi Kureto
Rating: Explicit
Warning!: Bondage, Rape, Blood
Summary: It’s when the door opens that he knows all bets are off about being safe. Not when—who else?—Kureto is entering his room, closing the door behind him. Shinya feels his jaw clench, as he outwardly remains calm. Kureto’s red eyes meets his clashing blue ones, and he speaks with a smile that makes Shinya’s hair stand to their ends. “Oh good, you’re awake.”
“Brother.” He greets with a smile, a plaster to everything that’s falling apart inside of him. His stomach has dropped to the floor and he feels sick, trapped like an injured animal. He thought to himself: ‘I’m going to die.’
