IM PRETTY SURE ERIK IS AN EXTREMIST BECAUSE HE KNOWS WHEN THE MASSES ARE FACED WITH 2 OPTIONS THAT THEY DONT LIKE THEY SIDE WITH THE ONE THAT ISNT KILLING EVERYONE SO HE DECIDED TO BECOME THE BAD GUY TO HELP CHARLES FURTHER HIS CAUSE SINCE HE COULDNT DO IT BY HIS SIDE ANYMORE.

i never thought of it that way before. i mean, i’m pretty sure that erik really does just hate humans (and hey, that’s pretty justified…i mean, his terrorist acts certainly aren’t justified, but to be fair, humans ARE dicks in x-men canon…soooo…), but this is nice to think about :)

but yeah, totally, there are definitely parts of erik that want to help charles’ cause. i mean, erik TOTALLY DOES BELIEVE in charles’ cause…he just has alternative (often more violent) methods. which, again, can you blame him?? i mean, i love charles…but he grew up in a wealthy, british household and didn’t face much discrimination. erik, on the other hand, lived through the holocaust, and had his whole family murdered…so yeah. Certainly different perspectives and motivations.
