B-but why ship that when you can ship-

Shh no kindly shut up. Ships are like ice cream or jelly bean flavors you like the ones you like and that’s how it goes. Yes I will side eye any one who’s favorite is chocolate and pickles ( saw an ad) or the barf flavored jelly beans. But I don’t have to interact with those people and guess what neither do you.

Trying to frame people who have bad ships are being bad people only makes others give you the side eyes. I hate blossick and will tear it apart like the cheap garbage it is, and I will side eye when shippers draw Brick tearing off blossoms shirt without her consent, does not mean I think the person who drew it would do the same.

Let’s bring back venting about ships and keep it at that.

To add on I think another reason why color code kind of annoys me more than any other ppg ship is that (at least from the fan fictions I’ve read) outside of a handful of people, the moment the girls get with their counterpart they stop being heroes and are just the love interest. Especially Blossom who seems to become this shy meek wallflower that bad boy Brick needs to save from mean girl Berserk/Princess/Bell (because Blossom herself would never be able to handle any of those three 🙄)

The others are no different (but feel more in character) as Buttercup is a tsnudere that needs arrogant yet charming Butch to remind her that her heartbreak from Ace/Mitch/ whoever doesn’t mean she can’t find love again. She just needs to let her walls down. Buttercup at least gets to fight so there’s that.

Bubbles is the most in character as she’s still sweet and bubbly, yet does need some protection. However some turns into all the time and totes not a bad guy just goofy Boomer is there to pick on the bully’s who mess with her.

And don’t worry they girls no longer have to fight crime because the guys do it for them.

And again no shade or hate if you like these tropes but damn do I find them tiring.

I asked a Barchie shipper if they were actually ok with the cheating and they said yes thins makes me so sad 😭 I don’t understand how you can be ok with this I know that not all Barchie shippers are like this but now I don’t want to ask another one. All I wanted was to understand why and maybe hope that they would say “I like Barchie but I didn’t want it to happen this way” that would be understandable. Ship what you ship that’s fine but I dunno I just needed to vent

Hot take I'd rather people age a character up or down for a ship then to just pair them with a character with no personality/one appearance because their the same age.

PPG shippers can be so hypocritical

Just something I want to get off my chest but am I the only one who finds it funny that people will call ships like akubloss and Mojobloss (two ships I don't like but not the point of this post) because it's 'insest' (based on the fan theory that Aku is made from Chemical x and Mojo is another father figure/ a sudo brother/ somehow related (again not my reasons just what I've seen) but then ship colorcode (Blossick, Boomubbles Butercup)

The genderbend evil versions of the girls also made out of chemical x and consider Mojo to be their father.

I think the funniest one is from this prick on DA named escarietson (No matter what you ship I'd recommend blocking him) called AkuBloss insest for the reasons above. Yet not only does he ship colorcode (and lowkey rides Bricks dick) but ships the Professor with Ms. keane who in his AU has adopted the RRB. (Here's the comic he did of the girls and boys talking to their adoptive parents about puberty without even trying to age them up from their five year old designs. Lets all suffer together

Making them stepsiblings. It's fine to hate insest and again don't like any of the ships mentioned above but the hypocrisy makes me laugh.

And yeah I know this dude is the creepy 1% of assholes in the ppg fandom/Colorcode shippers but my point stays.

Honestly 99 percent of the time when people try to use ships as a way to prove someone’s a degenerate or bad person it just feels like this.

A: You can’t ship that it’s problematic! Character 1 is older than character 2!

Me: Okay well what about this character whose the same age-

A: No that character sneezed at character 2 once making them an abuser!

Me: Alright how about an oc then as-

A:Gross! What are you a pedo!! That so wrong!

Me: Okay what can I ship then?

A: Well I ship this so that’s what you should ship,

Me: but I don’t like these ships

A: well here are some other acceptable ships

Me: isn’t this character older than character 2, and this one tried to kill them.
