How long has Exarch Zrimgor had his elekk, Shiraan? When did he get him?
Shiraan is actually the grandchild of Zrimgor’s first elekk, Shiraala, who he received as a gift from his sister Kelree when she was a baby. Both Shiraala’s daughter Shiraabi and Shiraan himself were raised by him as calves, so he’s spent all of Shiraan’s 28 years with him so far. Shiraala has been retired at this point, and Shiraabi now serves as a companion rather than a mount, though she helps with some light labor now and then.
