Drawing Blanks [Closed | Shiranui]
For the first time since being brought to Hive City, Noisemaster found himself wandering the lanes of Sector 006. He wasn’t even sure how he got there; he’d been meaning to swing by Sector 003 to find a place to hang out and try to forget about… well, forgetting about things, but apparently he was so out of it that he’d walked in the complete wrong direction. Well, there was nothing for it now. He wasn’t about to look like a complete loser by suddenly turning around and going back the way he came, so he kept going, making it look like he’d wanted to check out Sector 006 all along.
And it was a pretty nice place, too, Noisemaster had to admit. Not really his style—too much greenery and flowers and all that lame stuff—but better than a lot of the other sectors of the city. The only problem was that none of the streets seemed to go in a straight line, and somehow Noisemaster had found himself in some kind of park without even meaning to go to one. It didn’t take long before he was pretty much lost. Everything looked the same to him; trees, trees, bush, more trees… some kind of weird, white-and-red pillow thing that someone had ditched by the side of the path… yet more trees.
Noisemaster grumbled to himself, stopping by the side of the path next to the giant pillow. Why someone would leave a thing like that laying around was beyond him, but at the moment, he didn’t really care to investigate further than flopping on top if it and staring up at the sky. Hey, he was tired and it was convenient, so he wasn’t going to complain.
He really wasn’t having a good day. His mind was in places it hadn’t gone in a very long time, and he didn’t like it. As much as he’d been determined not to let this whole train wreck the scientists had caused get to him, it was getting to him hard. It was all he could do to pretend that it didn’t bother him, and even that was getting tiring. At least out in this sector, he wasn’t too likely to run into anyone he knew who might want to stop and bother him.
