"It would be a shame if someone were to embarrass my son in front of the boy he likes." Insert bad winking motion here.
"I am not a furry. My son is spreading lies."
Shiro couldn't move, he couldn't speak. It had all been just harmless fun. Hunting with Kiragi- and crossing the river he was never fond of. However, this time Shiro lost his footing in the current... this time, he let go too soon, and was unable to save his younger cousin from drowning. His Uncle screamed in anguish, everyone cried as they all came to terms with the youngest Prince's death. 'It's all my fault.' he thought 'I killed him..'
Meme II Accepting!
The request for a hunting trip had been innocuous enough. Takumi hadn’t seen any reason to refuse their hunting trip, for the forest proved a den of fun and games for two rambunctious boys. He had fully expected Kiragi and Shiro, as they were wont to do, to return with proof of their hunt: a carcass or two of animals that would prove well as meat or cloth.
Oh, indeed a carcass returned.
That of his precious and beloved son.
At first, disbelief occurred to him. Perhaps it was a ploy, a tangent of some cruel joke between the two? Then, sharp eyes lock with the heartfelt grief in his nephew’s eyes, and, wordlessly, a message passes between them that this is no jest. Despair welled within him, threatening to corrode his being. All at once, the shock of his son’s corpse registers, and it leaves him numb, devoid of thought or action.
It was akin to death. That day, a piece of Takumi had died along with his son. While he couldn’t rightly say what it was, he knew, profoundly, that this day would mark a change in him that there was no reversing. Kiragi meant the world to him. KIragi had represented the vitality of life -- an innocent boy, always the ray of sunshine even at the darkest of circumstances. And now, he was gone.
Takumi’s sobs were ugly and many, racking his body so profusely that it was a wonder his very heart hadn’t yet shattered. They were the cries of a father that had lost the light of his life.
"hold this for me, please," (LITTLE SHIRO)
His son is just the cutest, he thinks, the young boy plopping his small hand into his own, just fitting in his palm. It’s interesting, how different they are yet they seem to fit together perfect, father and son.
“What do you wish to do today?” He asks, leading the child along through the halls, walking slow to let him keep up. “Perhaps feed the ducks?”
Shiro takes his father's place as King after a period of mourning the fallen Ryoma. Weeks after the death, Shiro and Ryoma's siblings erect a statue of him net to ones of Mikoto, Ikona, and Sumeragi, and carries Raijinto to honor his name and legacy. He also names his first born after his father.
Oh my god Shiro you sweetheart
That’s so sad though, now he has to take on being king when Ryoma still had so much left to teach him
"Auntie Ara!!" And here lumbers in Shiro, a big ol' grin on his face. "Happy birthday!!" And before she can do much else, he bear hugs her. "Listen! What ever you wanna do today, let's do alright? It'll be fun!"
Oh–! The grin on his face earns Shiro one in return, small arms looping around her nephew’s waist with a soft laugh. Oh, Shiro is sweet. She didn’t think he knew, but Araceli supposes with eight siblings, four of which being related to Shiro, it’d be stranger if he didn’t hear something about her birthday.
The promise of an escape from camp for a while is enticing, too! The princess hums in thought, trying to decide what she would like to do– That Shiro would enjoy as well!
“Goodness… I’m not very good at being put on the spot, Shiro. I’d love to spend time with you today, though! Give me a few minutes, and I’ll think of something…! Thank you– Just hearing you offer makes me very happy!”
