What you think about AI art? I know it's absolutely bull— but if there's one advantage that you can use in AI art, what would it be? If you are really against it, then just go absolutely mayhem drawing where you beat the crap out of that AI art >:]
I think AI art is abysmal and it’s only a matter of time before it unfortunately ruins things for all creatives. I’ve heard so many bullshit excuses that frankly piss me the fuck off.
“I can’t draw tho”
“Why pay for art if it’s free to use AI”
“lol it’s just like being a digital artist”
“Ai is here to stay so deal with it”
AI art doesn’t come from a vacuum. It uses existing art created by humans to make something. Creating something takes soul, and humanity. Typing a fucking prompt into a text window and having an algorithm spit out some image mashed up of stolen art is not creating anything.
It is stripping the very thing that makes art, ART.
The fact that it was human. An expression of something from the perspective or mind of a living creature. AI is a soulless excuse for lazy people to stay lazy and to avoid actually creating. Because creating is fucking hard. Thinking, practicing, putting in the work to either make art or have the funds to pay an artist for their craft, is fucking hard. That goes for any creative skill, whether it’s drawing, painting, writing, etc.
The only advantage I’m straining to see is that it can be used for brainstorming or as a tool to improve on what an artist can do. AI needs to stay as something that helps us create, not takes over the entire process from start to finish.
I will happily die on this hill. 👏🙌
