Acts of affection ( not accepting )

❣– Staring deep into their eyes with adoration.

           Throughout all their moments spent together, Kikyo hadn’t let her feelings cloud reason. Yet now it was incredibly hard to stay in control of herself, to keep a distance between them… and she found that she didn’t want to. All she wanted was to lose herself in the molten gold that shone in his eyes, in the adoration that he looked at her with. Being a priestess, she was used to having love and admiration expressed for her person, but this… this was different. He was different. He wasn’t looking at the surface of who she was, he was looking into the deepest parts of her soul with such intensity that she shivered – and he loved her still, it was clear in his gaze. A light blush dusted her cheeks as she kept her eyes fixed on him, determined not to look away for as long as he didn’t.

            ❝ Inuyasha…❞ She whispered, raising a hand and lightly, tentatively brushing her fingers against his cheek, then letting it fall again as a small smile blossomed on her lips and her eyes lit up with the same love she saw in his. Yes, love – love was what she felt for him, so much that she didn’t know what to do with herself.

♥ – Laying by their side and watching them while they sleep with a fond smile.

               She’d been having such a pleasant dream… In it, she and Inuyasha were together in a field of flowers, making little bouquets and flower crowns for one another, behaving in a lighthearted manner because they were freely and beautifully in love. It was with reluctance that she opened her eyes, blinking in the first sun rays of the morning and turning her head to look at Inuyasha, who gazed at her with the gentlest smile she’d ever seen.

                 A quiet exclamation of surprise slipped past her lips as Kikyo realized that her life was, indeed, every bit as sweet as her dream – if not sweeter, because this was real. The hut Inuyasha had built for them, little Kaede still asleep against her back, his sleepy eyes admiring her face and his fond smile that made her heart sing, all of it was real and so wonderful that she’d almost forgotten she’d been allowed this kind of happiness.

             ❝ Good morning, love. ❞ She returned the smile as she greeted him, then moved closer so as to snuggle against him ( even asleep, Kaede mumbled in protest upon having her sister’s warmth taken away from her and Kikyo couldn’t help but chuckle softly at that ). ❝ How about we stay in bed a little longer today?❞
