So lately I’ve been trying to drink more vegetable juice because I’m very autistic and find getting veggies into my diet difficult. So I decide that I need the exercise and bike about a mile to my local Wallgreens. I walk in, and immediately I’m hit with advertisements for healthy food and medicine. I get my juice, check out with the very nice lady at the register, and start leaving. And that’s when I hear the man behind me ask for one of the hundreds of packs of cigarettes on the wall behind the counter.

That’s kind of fucked up, right? That a place where you’re supposed to heal, recover, and stay healthy sells cigarettes when there’s no shortage of places to buy them elsewhere? Am I being too liberal or am I on to something?

I don’t blame the man or the woman behind the counter, obviously. But medicine and cigarettes should not be sold side by side.
