Republicans currently have control of the Senate 51-48. Why 48? Because Louisiana’s senator was NOT decided last night. No candidate won more than 50%, so the next senator will be determined in a runoff election on Dec. 10, 2016. John Kennedy is the Republican, Foster Campbell is the Democrat. Kennedy got more votes last night BUT LOUISIANA PLEASE COME OUT IN DECEMBER AND VOTE FOR CAMPBELL. He supports equal pay, increased minimum wage, college loan forgiveness, and medicaid expansion. If he’s elected the Senate will be 49-51 which is at least better than 48-52. Also his term will be 6 years so that seat will remain democratic for a bit and geez do we need all the help we can get. TL;DR: VOTE CAMPBELL IN DECEMBER TO MAKE THIS SLIGHTLY LESS OF A SHIT SHOW PLEASE
