Mad Kow is a song demoed and played live by Weezer during the band's comeback in the summer of 2000. Though the song never appeared on an album, it was attempted again in 2002 as part of the collection referred to as the Album 5 Demos, demos for the intended fifth Weezer album, that would follow 2002’s Maladroit. None of these tracks would ever see release on an album, however, and Weezer would not release a fifth album until three years later, with 2005’s Make Believe.
This version of the song from the Album 5 sessions was recorded on July 2nd of 2002 and features musician Ryan "Shmedley" Maynes on keyboards.
Lyrics: I'm watching and waiting I'm disintegrating I know that you'd hear me If you could come near me
But no one can save me now I'm lost, just like a cow Madness burning inside my brain
I'm falling to pieces I'm breaking my leases I'm moving to some place I'll live in disgrace
I'm fallin'
