Struwwelpeter shocks Mark Ferguson

When Mark Ferguson learned there was such a children's book in Germany, containing tales like "The Story of the Thumb sucker", where the protagonist is left bleeding without his thumbs at the end, because he just wouldn't stop sucking at them, Mark was really shocked.
"You actually read this...to children?!
