Oh my god I hate those "stands are a reincarnation of dead characters" theories too. They make no sense whatsoever and go against the clearly stated way that stands work (and are obviously just so that people can pretend that their favs aren't totally gone tbh)

THANK YOU OMG usually I love reading people's theories and takes bc even if I disagree they can be really interesting!! But the stand reincarnation theories r just. So incredibly braindead? I swear people who actually believe them watched the anime with their eyes closed.

Please just let ur faves rest. We don't need to bring them back in the most nonsensical way possible just so you can keep living in denial.

What do you think of Rare Quibble? I have it on a couple islands.

According to their description these Quibbles just "refuse to grow up" and keep their short childhood beaks (so they have to use beak extenders to reach the keys) and colorful rocks, they also style their hair hardcore

(smug) I have a Rare Quibble....they are the only rare monster ive hatched so far (not intentionally? but not a gift lol) and because they are quibbles I love them dearly. I need to pay more attention to the descriptions but I love that..if theyre childish thats why they have a rainbow keyboard, like a kid's piano..my rebellious sweets

I have not watched madoka. I would love to, but 1) I don't have time, 2) I don't get invested in Romance much so I don't know what I'd get out of it, 3) from troper osmosis, I know the Witches are built on allusions to classical German literature & animation styles and similar things, so I fear that I am not Smart Enough to understand it yet, or probably ever. I like the blue girl? I hope it does not get ""wonder egg priority"" (misogynistic) with its premise, since magical girls become witches due to despair (I think).

well, that's hard..I'm not good at remembering decades. top gun or the breakfast club are probably too easy..I dislike short circuit because I was promised Robot Sentience Shenanigans and got brownface and only brown face instead (as opposed to the Noble (/j) Short Circuit 2, which has brownface AND robot sentience / autonomy shenanigans). ummm. hm. that's all I got..I'm a poor hater

I don't like to think about 2021 Me (let's kill him with the death loop), but I think I always enjoyed diavolo? he was campy to me, and doppio was more annoying...your analysis has definitely enriched him.

im trying to think of something I haven't said before..honestly I think your farcical shoeworld comics are really good. even if they're supposed to look like the "stereotype bad anime webcomic" they're engaging & I like the shaky lines it's very textureful. I never engaged with that stuff when I was younger so im sure there's Deep Cut Allusions im missing

What is your least favorite movie (or one of your least favorites)? (right back at you lol)

1. im no primate expert I'm afraid......I suppose I think japanese macaques are interesting! I liked tarsiers when I was a kid (steve jenkins) so them too I guess!

2. I like many of their songs .. from their first record I talk to the wind from beat I like waiting man & neurotica from discipline... indiscipline. those are all different enough to be my favorites. they're quite beautiful poems for me and they have have nothing to do with an oc

3. One of my least favorites, for non adaptation reasons, is forrest gump. I hate that movie to the depths of my soul. for adaptation reasons, chaos walking. the BOOK SERIES chaos walking is genuinely amazing and watching the movie made me want to die. Explanation under cut. I also don't like dumb and dumber - it's one of those movies where it's best watched in youtube clips your mom shows you.

so chaos walking....part of me Knows a chaos walking movie was doomed to fail because of one lore facet: the Noise. Chaos walking is the book series but the movie is the first book (the knife of never letting go) and the premise is that a 13 yo boy Todd is a member of a subsistence (think puritan or something level tech) colony (Prentisstown) on the planet New World. Todd uncovers Viola, a girl who's a crashed accident from a spaceship traveling there further out, and they go on the run together ITS GOOD. now there are two noticable things abt Prentisstown. 1 there are no women 2 the Noise, which is a native germ of the planet that allows human men (and only men) to hear the thoughts of each other and animals. you can tell why this is hard to put in a Movie. but on the other hand, THE REST OF THE MOVIE IS TRASH AS WELL !!! ITS A LOST TEEN DYSTOPIA MOVIE! IT HAS TOM HOLLAND! HE USNT 13! ITS BAD ITS HORNY IT RUINS THE ATMOSPHERE AND MANCHEE THE DOG. STILL. DIES! FUCK OFFFF! I HATE IT SO MUCH! IT TAKES A GENUINELY GOOD THING AND MAKES IT BORING AS SIN! AAAAAAAAA
