Okay, I wore the Jeremy Scotts denim wings because first of all I feel like everybody was gonna wear a pair of Nikes.. or something hype cause it’s sneaker con.  I wanted to wear something that was truly like a sneaker that I love, and I love these shoes.  So.. and… I love all the the Jeremy Scotts.  I love his designer mentality… that he does weird stuff you know… and he thinks outside the box. And he's not worried about you know everybody liking it.  He’s just… he has a certain crowd and that's who he go caters to and everybody keeps on buying ‘em you know so…

Did you have a hard time getting those?

Actually, they were... I just walked into the store and grabbed them… so… that’s my favorite way to buy a pair of sneakers. You know like... I’m 27.  I grew up when we could go into a store and actually buy Jordans in the store… no line… no hype.  We bought ‘em cause we actually wanted to wear the sneakers that Michael Jordan was wearing in the game.

Awesome! Would you consider yourself a sneakerhead?

I consider myself one of the last remaining REAL sneakerheads, no hypebeast... for the love of the shoes, for the love... you know when people you know you can meet friends just off... talking about sneakers.  Aye, those is dope… where’d you get those? And that’s why I love it cause you could just meet a random person; you have nothing else in common but you guys both love sneakers or clothes and that’s so dope to me.

What made you wear those sneakers today?

"Uhh, well they’re super duper limited..and I couldn’t find them anywhere when they dropped here… And I had to actually buy them overseas... and I’ve had them for like maybe 3 or 4 months and I have’t worn them and I figured when better than SneakerCon!"

Do you consider yourself a sneaker head?

"Part time sneaker head... If it’s like something I really want I have to get it, you know I get it, but I don’t go crazy over all the sneakers so.."

Did you have a hard time getting those?

"Hell yeah.  Like I had to get them overseas.. from like Sweden."

They’re imported! Where’d you get them?

"Uhh, it was a website. I actually don’t remember which."

"Yeah, thank you"

Anything else you would like to add on?

“Uhm... the quality of these sneakers is ridiculous like when he’s done I’ma take it off to show you."

"The leather on this is just like, feel the difference in the material, like this is like kinda like a different material and then this leather is just so f*cking official, And then I love like the mango yellow right there cause you can’t really tell but it brings out like the blue."

Tell us your name and what do you do?

“My name is Shu and I'm the co-owner of one of the nice sneaker stores in New York, Image NY, and you know we’re here to provide all the sneakerheads for whatever shoes they need."

What are you wearing and what made you wear them today?

"What I’m wearing… I’m wearing one of my favorite shoe of all time, the Air Max 1 the Atmos with the safari print on it.  This is my third pair I ran through, man. (laughs)"

Would you consider yourself a sneakerhead? 

"Uhh, I guess I am a sneakerhead.  It really depends how you put it I guess.  I’m more of a sneaker lover… you know"

Sneaker enthusiast?

"Sneaker enthusiast I guess, I mean sneakerhead I guess a new term nowadays for everybody, but yeah I’m a sneakerhead, absolutely."

Did you have a hard time getting those?

"Well I got these years ago.  No, they were not hard to get.  Alright, if I’m trying to get them now, it’ll be close to impossible but I stocked up though; I got two more of these babies that I’m planning to run through over the years. (laughs)"

Nice! Is there anything else you would like to add behind the story of your sneakers? 

"Uhmm, aw man, the story of.. my first pair, I’ll be honest… my first pair I got outta Japan and when I got them in I knew, I fell in love with them you know… on the picture it looked, and then till it got to my doorstep, I fell in love and I beat them up man I don’t give a sh*t… I have a really beat pair that I wear all the time to sneaker events.  Everybody was coming up to me like "yo they're nice… those are nice”, “tried to buy it off” and I’m like “naw man, you’re not gonna buy these off me… I’ll sell you other stuff, I’m not selling this” (laughs) That’s the ironic part, I sell sneakers, but I’m not gonna sell these right here; whatever price you can give me, I’m not selling it."

I hear that! Anything else?

"Uhh, naw that’s all. I mean, enjoy the sneaker story guys.  I mean, it’s one of the coolest things; I checked it out on Instagram… it’s very cool you know and I’m glad you guys came and checked us out and hope you guys got a lot of flicks too!"
