Do you ever heard about one of the most beatiful virtues called chastity? Guess what, you boyfriend really lives for that one!
So I strongly believe that Akagi is inclined to live his relationship following this virtue because he had a wonderfull parenting. We can see that Akagi has a strong personality, such as Mitsui or Sakuragi, but he shows a lot of virtues since the beggining of the story, like self-control, resilience and loyalty. And one of the most beautiful derivations of self-control is called chastity.
Chastity is the virtue that allows us to love freely because we had our carnal impulses under control. So is not that Akagi doesn't feel a desire for you. He feels. A lot. But he puts it under control by redirecting this sexual energy that generates the impulses to basketball, for example.
And there's another point that really molds Akagi's ways to treat a woman: Haruko. As a big brother, he is always worried about Haruko and all the dorks Sakuragi that can intend something with her. I strongly believe that Akagi has big influence in Haruko's behavior (that's why she is so nice and open with every guy. Her reference is Akagi, who always treated her with most respect and care). And because he knows that, he's always worried about having a pure look for every single woman. He wants women to feel safe around him as he always made Haruko feel. And a pure look is not a assexual look. A pure look means looking for women as they really are: human beings that deserves to be respected and protected, not objects to fullfil the desires of his body.
So yes. Akagi would probably take a while to kiss you even wanting it so badly. Probably a month or two.
