theres an active shooter in my town and im at work where our store is the only one not on lockdown

I don’t have any words of consolation, anything to say that feels even remotely adequate, but my heart goes out to everyone in Orlando reeling in the wake of last night’s massacre and to friends near and far who feel like whatever sense of peace and safety they had before last night’s attack have been shattered, too. My prayers are also with friends fasting for Ramadan, that they may be shielded from racist violence carried out by murderous would-be vigilantes in retaliation for the killings. May the dead rest in peace and not be forgotten. Everyone please take care today <3
