Centro Asturiano Club The 20th century Hispanic embassy in #Ybor's heyday. They not only catered to Spanish immigrants but those coming and returning from Cuba as well. Wikipedia has the details. This building had it's own bar, bowling lanes, ballroom and other fancy venues for libation and social gatherings sans social media. These steps have witnessed how time has changed. Across the highway from #ybor is Tampa Heights. It's the complete opposite of the Tampa most people know. Here not all of the historic buildings get the redo. The abandoned buildings are home to the homeless. It's my first time to venture into these parts.
