The Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club lead a casual bicycle ride on city streets and bicycle paths to explore the historic South Brooklyn shoreline with multiple stops along the route. Departing from Borough Hall's west facing steps, the route heads south on Furman Street to Red Hook, traveling mostly along the greenway to discuss features and history of the waterfront neighborhood of South Brooklyn. Bring your bicycle or use a Citibike for the ride. The riding pace is easy and is a perfect ride for beginners and all ages. The route has over 20 stops & usually lasts for 90 min to two hours. Bring a snack and some water. Tour is cancelled if it is raining 60 minutes prior to departure or during the ride and tickets are a $10 donation. No refunds but you can join our next ride for free if you can't make it or ride is cancelled. Don't forget a helmet, water bottle sunscreen and camera for the interesting sights and spectacular views.
