Okay, everyone, I have good news!

Firstly: this blog’s requests are finally open again! I have time to do things like this and I have a better personal system of how to handle requests, so give me your age-regression requests and I’ll make posts!

Secondly: this blog has now branched out to include two other blogs that are “related” to this one. They are @kiddiekins​ (age-regression for otherkin/fictionkin) and @unlikelyregressionsources (age-regression themed around non-child-friendly media). Why did I do that? Mostly because I was getting requests for things that those two blogs now specifically cover, and while I had no problems with making the posts, I started to feel like they belonged in different places than this main blog, so that’s why there’s two blogs now!

I’m going to reblog this post to both of the blogs I mentioned, and I’m also including this link, which will help you figure out where to send your request if you’re not sure what blog to send it to! Anyway, yeah, requests are open, check out the new blogs, I’m looking forward to things. 0u0

Okay so I am in the process of doing the large but affordable plushes available in the UK and here’s what I’m doing

I’m gonna define “large” as “40+ cm” (which is about a foot and a half which imo is a large size for a stuffed animal) and I’m going to define “affordable” as “£10″ or lower I hope this is okay

Okay so...here’s something I am going to address because I have seen people talking about this and it’s relevant to a lot of the posts I make here.

TLDR - Some people think that fidget spinners with “unusual” designs are not okay because they contribute to some of the problems regarding neurotypicals’ interaction with them, but I don’t agree with that and unless something happens to change my mind, I’m still including those things on stim posts.

As most of you probably know, the items known as “fidget spinners” are becoming really, really popular these days. These were, as far as I’m aware, meant to be stim toys for neurodivergent people from the very start (as opposed to things like, say, stress balls or worry stones, which are very useful to neurodivergent people and that can easily be stimmed with but weren’t invented for that purpose.)

I have seen a lot of neurodivergent people’s opinions about this on various websites/platforms, and the most popular belief amongst these people tends to be that these things are tools for neurodivergent people and shouldn’t be treated as toys or collectables for neurotypicals. That makes sense, and I agree with that personally.

However, there was one opinion I saw rather recently, and I’ve only seen one person ever say it, but someone still did say it so I wanted to give where I stand on this. The specific sentiment being conveyed was that fidget spinners are tools for neurodivergents and not toys for neurotypicals, AND that neurotypicals (I BELIEVE the post’s phrasing was “people” but contextually I could tell they meant “neurotypical people”) should not try to trivialize neurodivergent people’s need to stim by making “cool fancy versions” of the fidget spinner. (”Cool fancy version” was not their actual phrasing, I don’t remember everything in the post too well, and I can’t find the post again and am not super invested in trying harder.) 

So like...what that means is that there IS the opinion that things like fidget spinners that light up or whose extending spinny bits are in the shape or something specific like an animal’s face or anything “unusual” and “novel” like that. Anyway the opinion is that these aren’t okay because they contribute to the major problems and obstacles neurodivergent people are currently facing because of fidget spinners.

I. honestly am not 100% sure where I stand on this, because on one hand, I do not see the actual harm in making fidget spinners with some kind of “novel” design (ESPECIALLY since, because of how long I’ve been making stim posts on the internet, I’ve seen stuff like that being in existence for like at least a solid year before fidget spinners became popular and any of the issues/discourse arose). But I can also see why that “sensationalizes” (for lack of a better word) the object and again just turns it into a “how cool can we make this object look” sorta thing. Basically, I can totally see why that would make a fidget spinner look like a cool novelty toy to a neurotypical person, but I can also totally see why that would make a fidget spinner look like a cool fun-shaped tool to a neurodivergent person. 

The crux of the argument against fidget spinners like these is that fidget spinners are tools, not toys, as stimming is a literal need for many neurodivergent people, and therefore a fidget spinner serves a purpose as a tool as opposed to being a luxury like a toy. However, I still don’t think it’s wrong for people to make and sell and buy fidget spinners like the kind I described. (Please note that when I said “people” in that sentence, I honestly did mean “people”: this is less of a “should neurotypicals be allowed to do it” statement and more of a “is it acceptable for anyone at all to do it” statement.)

So therefore, unless enough people present a convincing enough argument otherwise or unless something Happens to change my mind (”Happens” being a word which here means something like “there’s a shift in the discourse or an event occurs that would show another side of the situatin or something”), I am going to include fidget spinners of all kinds on my stim posts. That doesn’t mean that all posts will have fidget spinners on them (and it’s always okay for someone to request that I don’t put this or that sort of thing on a post), but it does mean that if the fidget spinner has a novel design that’s relevant to the request’s theme (e.g. the theme was superheroes and someone 3D-printed a fidget spinner so it looked like the Batman symbol, or the theme was cats and someone made a fidget spinner where the edges were in the shape of cats’ faces - these are for the record things I have seen before), then I will include it. This is my stance unless there is enough outcry for me not to do that or if an event happens that makes me change my mind. I know this specific thing is not a super controversial issue at all ("specific thing” meaning “fidget spinners made to look a certain unusual way”) but I wanted to express my stance on it because this kind of thing appears very frequently on my posts here so I felt like, in the interest of people knowing what they may get as a result of their requests being fulfilled, I needed to make my stance known.

hi everyone I have news! 

so good news, this blog is going to be up and running again at the end of this month/start of next month! thats because I finally figured out how I’m going to run it (which is going to have its own announcement and stuff, pls don’t send requests even though things will be working again soon) and im excited about things! 

im under a fair bit of stress lately because finals are happening at school but ! school gets out on the 16th of the month for me (at least I think it does?) and after my birthday on the 27th, everything in my life will basically be back to normal and i’ll be able to put attention towards things i do for fun, like this blog! so yea i’m going to be coming back and now you kind of know when!

Hey....sorry to everybody but. I’m going to put this blog on a hiatus, if that’s okay. It’s for reasons involving

 increased workload at my new school (”new” meaning this is my first semester there)

my increasingly confusing and conflicted relationship to age-regression (as in, I haven’t been age-regressing much lately and when I do, it’s almost always in a situation where I can’t really produce any kind of meaningful work at all, and this blog first became a thing during a time where I was age-regressing as much and at times I would expect myself to do that and it was a way for me to do something kind of productive that related to my age-regressing when it was happening)

I have some ideas on how I may potentially want to run this blog (these are between me and myself as opposed to working with somebody else) but it’s going to take a while for me to properly turn those thoughts into actual things I can do

I’ve just been very, very, very tired lately and been unable to do most things in general.

Sorry everybody..there’s been times in the past when you were Very Understanding of me not being able to do things so well and I really do appreciate that of you all so I hope you’ll understand this decision
