dusting off my tumblr blog to announce that if you haven’t already, my comic for @shortboxcomicsfair, “We Were Just Playing Pretend,” is now available to read until the end of october on the shortbox site!

it’s a 30-page double-spread story told in extended sonnet, about a girl forced to hide her relationship with a lover invisible to everyone else in her traditional chinese family…

it's the very first comic I've finished on paper (tones and letters added digitally) and I'm so proud of how it came out. it's a queer, low-fantasy story with slice-of-life elements, possibly a little romance, full of messy lines and messy feelings and I can't wait for everyone to read it in october!!
