Strawberry shortcake donut cookies combine the flavors of strawberry shortcake and donuts to create a delicious treat.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 egg. 1/4 cup milk. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup diced strawberries. 1/2 cup whipped cream. Powdered sugar, for dusting.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Mix the egg and milk into the butter and sugar until everything is well mixed together. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms. Fold the diced strawberries into the dough slowly so that they are spread out evenly. Place spoonfuls of dough on the baking sheet that has been prepared and shape them into rounds that look like donuts. Put it in an oven that is already hot and bake it for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. Take the cookies out of the oven and set them on a wire rack to cool. Put some whipped cream on top of each cookie after they have cooled all the way down. For the last touch, sprinkle powdered sugar over the cookies. Enjoy the strawberry shortcake donut cookies!
