   There’s a pause as he tries to think. those gears in his head visibly turning as he stares Ken down for a moment “How do you flirtatiously hit something?” yeah, he’s a little stumped.

"Heya, Terry, long time no see," Ken says cheerily, giving the other blond fighter a friendly pat on the shoulder. "How's the Smash tournament been treatin', ya?" 

“Ken!” Terry gave the other man a wide, friendly smile, always seeming happy to be in the fighter’s company. “It’s wild, but I think y’ know that. I can fight against fire and flames, but y’ know, I didn’t think I’d be facin’ killer plants, bombs, lasers, and tongues, too!” He gave a large belly laugh at that, knowing how surreal his experience has been. Terry knew he couldn’t complain though. It was clear any time he took presence on the stage that he was having the time of his life.

Calming himself down, Terry pressed a hand on Ken’s hip, something of a supporting move since the other’s hand was still on his shoulder. “I do miss fightin’ you though. Let’s catch up soon, okay?”

“Yo!” Terry’s voice was light and airy as it rang in the air. He approached the martial artist with that signature smirk on his lips, one that he’s noted to often match up with Ken’s as well. It really had been a long time. 

“Got time for some sparrin’ with me? I bet you’ve got some new moves to try on a willing partner.” Terry tried to contain his enthusiasm at the idea of getting to face Ken once more, never forgetting the kind of matches they had in the past. The martial artist was like a firecracker, fast and unpredictable, ready to counter and punish, relentless on the attack, and Ken knew how to make Terry hurt. Feeling energy pool at his fingertips, Terry busied his hands as he pulled on the brim of his hat. 

“If not, you better have a good excuse!” he laughed.

   “Good, ‘Cause there’s this adorable lil bakery across town i really wanna visit!” If he was going to finally be humored in his attempts of snagging a date, Jesse was going to make the most of it. “I’m free between 1 and 3 on saturday! see you then, cutie~”

((Kage’s stupid ass sometimes forgets how hot fire can be, so there will always be times where he just sticks his whole hand into one just to heat something up or burn something.

what’s worse is he won’t realize it right away so you just have a moment of a demon himbo staring blankly at what he’s doing before he the realization of ‘oh right! fire’s HOT!’ hits him))

Max Caulfield was a big inspiration back in the day for Jesse, and still is to this day, a quiet young adult that barely fits in with their surroundings, getting caught up in things they clearly shouldn’t and having to make some of the toughest choices to get through life, awkward in their own little ways.
