OK I just have to vent this because it's been something I've noticed when I read anything to do with a/b/o and don't get me wrong the writers are amazing. But why in the ever loving hell do y'all make omegas out to be weak and helpless, look I get it that’s how most of them are written as, but hear me out. In a pack of wolves(where I get my idea) omegas are just as strong as alphas, they also protect their alphas when they are being challenged. The omegas go under the neck of the alpha to protect them, it's not for the omega to be protected. The neck is a weak spot, they sit there while all this is going on to keep the offending wolf away from said spot. So in the omegaverse/aboverse is it so wrong to have a strong willed omega and not a weak and helpless one? Like I know it's humans with all that but come on, it's not being bratty or rebellious of an omega to defy their alpha if it will save said alpha. Why make them be punished and all that, like one I was reading loved the concept but hated how they made the omega reader be so submissive, I want a story with a strong willed omega who will stop at nothing to protect their alpha(s) just like said alpha(s) will stop at nothing to protect them. Is that too much to ask? I was ligit grinding my teeth at that concept that reader wanted to be strong to help protect themselves and their alphas but they got punished for it. Makes no damn since to me at all.
End of my rant. But I'm not sorry for it. 😆
