"Inuyasha, do the stars ever die where you live?" You ask curiously. He looks over at you, watching you look up at the sky in awe. He says gently. "Everything dies, Skya. Eventually."
You try not to let the emotion you're feeling show as you bow your head. "Can't stars live forever?" You ask childishly. He shakes his head sadly as you look over at him. "What about you... Could you live forever?"
He puts a hand on your cheek. "For you I'd live as long as time would let me." And with that they both look back up at the stars, cheeks pinkened and hearts full of emotion. You really wanted that to be true.
