"When I stumbled upon this thumbnail in the image gallery, Ithought that it was perhaps merely a two-dimensional screenprint as it lacks any resemblance to a canonical garment designed for the natural curvatures of the human body. French Hussar uniform from 1812, Captain of the 4th regiment of the Napoleontic Army. Pelisse in red wool, finished with grey (fake) fur, gold soutache braiding, tapes and decoration. Dolman in navy blue wool, gold soutache braiding, flower embroidery and tapes.Breeches in navy cotton, decorated with gold tapes. Flap closure with metal buttons.
