Earth’s child. ☘︎ ݁˖
“My darling child,” Bhulakshmi cradled the infant in her arms, “My Bhumijaa.”
The infant reached out to pull at the goddess’ loose curls making the latter chuckle at the former’s antics.
“Still a naughty kid, Shri” Bhulakshmi pressed a gentle kiss on the child’s forehead. She was the goddess who had risen from the waves of the ocean, and she was also the very same who is the benevolent earth, nurturing and protecting.
She was Lakshmi, and so was the child in her arms who seemed to have fallen into a slumber.
“You shall be called as Seeta,” Bhudevi whispered, “and Bhumijaa too, daughter of the very soil you are the personification of.”
Janaka’s daughter shall be famous in the world as Janaki, from the earth she will rise and to the earth she will return.
The supreme goddess knew of the play of fate, and she was the very one who controlled the strings of it. Shri created illusions, and so the world was under her leela now.
Earth’s darling child, the goddess cradled her own form. Mother and daughter both, as it had been since eternity. Mother and child both alike.
