celebrate the winter season in shrike heights at our annual resident winter celebration !
the shrike lodge and surrounding areas are always busy this time of year due to the influx of tourism from surrounding towns - but for two weeks of the winter, the owners of the lodge like to show appreciation for the residents of our very own town ! for the next two weeks, runs the resident winter celebration ! accommodation at the lodge, the hotel and the cabins are all reduced heavily in price for those of you who reside in shrike heights ! with this, comes a complimentary dinner at the restaurant for each night booked, along with discounted meals for the rest of the day !
along with the discounted accommodation, our residents are able to access an array of discounts on winter activities up in the mountain, from ski rentals and access to our slopes, to ice skate rental down at lake love. if you’re in the holiday spirit, come and visit our north pole station by the lodge, where you can paint your own baubles, make your own snow globes, or even build your own gingerbread house, completely decorated by you ! for those of you who celebrate, don’t forget to pick out your christmas tree at the christmas tree farm - where you might even be lucky enough to meet some real life reindeer !
during this year’s winter celebration, the lodge is also hosting a party to welcome the new year ! all shrike heights residents are invited to attend the elegant party hosted by and at the lodge, where there will be good company, a countdown to ‘89, fireworks to get the year started off right, and more than enough champagne to go around !

celebrate the peak of fall in shrike heights at our annual festival !
celebrate the harvest of the season at our annual two-week long fall festival ! from the founding of our town, we have annually celebrated the harvest by sharing food and wine with our neighbours. here at the fall festival, there are a multitude of different stalls, some on rotation, including food - such as baked goods and hearty meals, beverages, fresh fruit and vegetables - and a multitude of other stalls with miscellaneous hand-made creations by the townspeople. there are multiple seating and picnic areas complete with blankets, seating and ambient lighting, perfect for a mug of hot apple cider or a sweet piece of pumpkin pie ! if you have something to provide, you're more than welcome to rent a stall and sell your goods and services to your fellow towns-folk !
along with the food, celebrate the season with your friends by participating in our fall games, such as ring toss, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, bobbing for apples and more ! go on one of our evening hay rides, navigate your way through our corn maze, weave your own basket, or carve your very own jack-o-lantern ! there's lots of fun for people of all ages. feel free to get the weekly schedule for the stall rotations at the information booth ( where you can also purchase tickets for our halloween spooktacular event ), or come down to the commune at any point in the day if you prefer to be surprised ! either way, you won't be disappointed.
ooc info - this is an annual event that has been running in shrike heights for generations, originally run by the farmers who lived in the fields on the outskirts of town, but now run by the hippie commune who occupy the same land and grow myriads of vegetables/fruits/crops etc. due to the length of the event it is typically casual and not the biggest deal for residents, though it can be quite exciting to some, and can be a good opportunity for some muses to sell their own goods ( which you're free to have your muse do if you please, so long as the stall makes sense for the fall fest setting ! ). event interactions may begin immediately, and please note that there will be no plot drop associated with this event.
celebrate halloween in shrike heights at our annual spooktacular !
join in on all of the halloween fun and fright this year at shrike heights commune ! each year since the founding of the town, the success of the fall festival has been followed closely by a night dedicated to the tricks and treats associated with the spooky and beloved fall holiday. this year, the spooktacular will be running on a different time schedule in order to keep our residents safe. residents and families are encouraged to attend the event any time from noon to sunset. come dressed up in your grandest costumes and enter the competitions for your chance to win prizes ! the costume competition will be drawn at 5pm.
along with the costume competitions, celebrate halloween with our appropriately themed activities and attractions. get lost in the corn maze, dance and sing along to live music performed by local shrike artists, eat your body weight in candy, get a spooky themed drink at julio’s pop up halloween bar, and so much more ! tickets are available upon arrival for those who did not purchase theirs at the fall fest, and we can assure you this is a night you do not want to miss !

the governing body of shrike heights has decided to hold a fundraising event in the town center !
a variety of local shrike artists have put forth some of their works to be viewed and purchased to raise money for the town ! set up in the town square will be numerous stalls and tents in which artists can display their works. you’ll find that some of these pieces are actually quite affordable for the every day shrike resident ! around sundown, mayor sweeney will make an appearance in order to make a speech and reveal the artworks donated by distinguished shrike residents that are to be auctioned. if you can’t afford to buy some art from our local artists, the town center stores have set up donation boxes that you can deposit any amount into ! shrike heights thanks you for your generosity !
