Thank you all for joining us for our First Annual Serenity House Snowball Dance!  We want to congratulate all who were in the running for our Snowball Court...but the results are in! 

Without further adieu, here is your Snowball Court!

Congratulations to all who ran! It was a very close and neck-and-neck race! There were a lot of votes to total up- so congratulations to all!

Now, for the challenge- the official Snowball Court dance! 

All members of the Snowball Court must dance with their partners after being crowned- each will get to pick the song they dance to! Submit to Director Candy what song you will be dancing too and then do what you do best- write away! :) You will be awarded bonus points for this, court members! Tag the start of your thread #SHRPGSNOWBALL so we can track it! <3<3

Since there were complications and defects with the previous way of voting for the Snowball Court, Admin Gee has recreated the form and you can now vote by clicking here! 

The results of the previous vote will not count! The dance has been moved to start at 6:00pm on Friday, February 24th and is set to end March 6th at 11:59pm!

There will also be a task regarding this event posted tonight! It will be a small one, but it will be a great way to pick up a bonus 150pts! So keep an eye out for it! ;-)

MINI-EVENT; SNOWBALL !

Welcome, patients and staff, to the first annual Serenity House Snowball!

We know those in our facility miss out on a lot of opportunities due to where they are and what they are working for, so we feel it’s very important that every once and a while- we give everyone a taste of the “norm!” The Snowflake Ball will be held in the Rec Room and there will be a series of games, refreshments, snacks, music AND the election of a Snowball Court! All encouraged to attend and dress up for this special ball, feel free to see Director Ruby Gem if you have any questions!

Hey members! Here is your little surprise mini-event! Serenity House is going to be hosting a Snowball- basically the equivalent of a Spring Fling but...in a hospital! The event is going to start at 12am on February 19th and end at 11:59pm on February 26th! Though it seems small, there are plenty of awesome plotting opportunities that lie ahead for you! We also are going to have a Snowball Court, like a Homecoming Court, which will work like this:

All those entered in the running must be nominated- whether by you or by another person!

There will be a page on Ruby’s blog for this event so you can see who is in the running AND find the link to vote!

You are only allowed to vote a certain amount of times! Each character you play represents 1 vote. For instance, Admin Gee plays 5 characters and would, therefore, have 5 votes.

You are allowed to use those votes however you want! You are allowed to vote for yourself with all your votes!

Members have until Monday, February 20th, to send in all their nominations! Then, voting will take place over the course of the week and the winners will be announced on Saturday, February 25th!

You cannot nominate two people together- it is not a packaged deal! Anyone can win with anyone! Nominations can also be for patients AND staff! :)

and, of course, because we all know you love opportunities to win points;

SNOWBALL KING AND QUEEN winners will receive 500 points!

SNOWBALL PRINCE AND PRINCESS winners will receive 250 points!

SNOWBALL DUKE AND DUTCHESS winners will receive 125 points!

SNOWBALL LORD AND LADY winners will receive 75 points!

CHARACTER SPECTACULAR SALE!!!!

Happy Black Friday! Thanks to the holiday, we thought it was only fair if we had a sale of our own...but because we’re Serenity, what we have to give away won’t cost you any points. Rather- it will gain you points! 

Here are the deals we have going on: 

ANY medical patient, male, female, non-binary, etc is now worth 1,500pts! 

ANY male patient (rescue/medical) will get you an additional 1,000 points! 

ANY staff member is now worth 2,000 points! 

ANY doctor/therapist/security guard will give you an additional 1,500points!

ANY CHARACTER ON OUR MOST WANTED CHARACTER LIST IS NOW WORTH 6,000 points!

SHRPGEVENT: Assignments!

At Camp Kanata, staff assignments go beyond just treating patients. There is so much to do and see, it’s going to take a village to keep the place running. Staff, in addition to your list of patients/ duties related to your job, you have also been put into 1 of 4 groups/”activities”: Waterfront, Down, Up, and Campfire.

Waterfront 

In this group, you will be in charge of all activities having to do in and around the water. This includes swimming, boating, ski-dooing, water skiing, use of the slide, jumping off the dock, sand castle building, etc etc.

Down

Down activities are meant for those more interested in using their hands, thinking, and being creative. Think of things like arts & crafts, cooking, card games, ice breaking games, Foosball, movies, and the like. It’s good for doing things while also having some down time.

Up

If you’re looking to get moving and explore, Up is the right group for you! This groups puts the active in activity. When running or being a part of Up, you will be -literally- up and at it. You will be supervising the play structure, as well as organizing games and activities, like man hunt, capture the flag, soccer, basketball, softball, and camp skills. 

Campfire

Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, there is a camp-wide campfire. If you’re a part of this group, you’re going to be in charge of putting together and organizing the campfire. Think of songs, stories, snacks, etc. The campfire is a time to reflect on the day/week, get people talking about their experiences here, what they like or don’t like. 

Think outside the box! We have provided some ideas in each description, but feel free to think of any and all things that may apply! Patients can partake in as many or as few activities as they would like-- the note on the assignments page is solely for the purpose of the staff, and has nothing to do with their list of patients. Interns, you will take on the same role as your supervising staff, but you may be able to have fun during the activities too, not just be in charge of them (;
