You fixed your skirt just a bit before entering Sollux’s room. You were school mates, and you needed to look like it. You… probably weren’t supposed to be in here, but you had to. You missed her. You missed her really badly.

You sat crossed legged on her bed, holding a little knitted bee in your lap, stroking it softly and closing your eyes.

"Sollux I… Know you probably can’t hear me, but I really wish you could. It’s… a lot harder without you, and I know we didn’t talk much but I just… I miss you. So I um. I brought you this, I guess, in case you’re still here, just for… for a comfort item… Heh. I um. I spent some time on it, making sure the stripes and wings were even and everything, which is kinda silly since nobody will see it but… It’s important to me. You’re…" You didn’t even notice the tears rolling down your face until that point. You lift your tie to wipe them. "You’re important to me, Sol. You’re important to all of us and we miss you so bad… Why… why did it have to be like this…? I…"

You broke down and cried in her bed for a good half hour before wiping your eyes and taking a few deep breaths, setting the plush against her pillow and walking out of her room, waving before you close the door.
