Best friends with Kurama headcannons?

(just a heads up)(This got long really quick)(I have a lot of Kurama feels)

•(I feel like Kurama would need someone with a ‘louder’ personality to be his BEST friend. Someone to be a little more publicly assertive and confidant)

•He trusts you more than anyone

•You’ll know about his mother being sick•He likes you coming to visit her sometimes

•(says she likes seeing you as well)

•If youre not all that great with school he’ll definitely help you out

•(you might not even have to ask)

•(Honestly I feel like no matter how close you two were he wouldn’t just tell you about him being Kurama)

•You’d have to figure out somethings up on your own

•If you’re adamant enough hell spill the beans

•(although it might take him a bit to give the whole truth)

•But he’ll never actually lie to you

•Honestly once you do know the whole truth he’ll probably feel really relieved

•He’s willing to answer any questions you might have

•(and loves showing off his talent with plants)

•When Hiei comes into the picture, you start to worry

•Your friend doesn’t tell you whats going on with this demon but you know somethings up based on that look in his eyes

•(you’re his biggest weakness, along with his mother)

•(hiei might even use you against him)

•Unlike before he’s probably not gonna give in to you wanting to know what’s going on

•He’ll just tell you everything will be ok and not to worry about it

•But when Yusuke jumps in the picture and you find out Kurama almost killed himself?

•It upsets you•Even if it was for his mother•You’ll be sore with him for a little while

•But he’ll understand completely

•He hadn’t even given you a goodbye or told you what he was doing

•So he can’t blame you being upset all that much

•(honestly you’ll probs end up wanting to kick a little demon ass next time you see hiei)

•You’re really confused when he just disappears one day

•But then he comes back with Hiei and Yusuke and some wanna be elvis bro

•You don’t care if they see or not

•You really drill into that pretty boy on up and leaving like that

•Unlike with Kuwabara, Kurama won’t just stand by and let you join the team

•No matter how strong you are

He knows it’s probably (really) petty but he doesn’t want you involved in all that they’ll get into

•He makes that very clear to Yusuke•No matter how sore you’ll be with him over it

•He’s just trying to protect you

•(little does he know you just want to protect him too)

•You’re always there for him when he comes back home all battered and bruised up

•Even though you know he can handle himself, you like to patch him up

•(he finds it a little amusing tbh)

•(but it’s the only time you really see him so ‘vulnerable’)

•And if he’s not gonna let you protect him on the field then this is the least (he could let) you do

•No matter how much he fights against it (and he’s reeeaaallllyyyy against it) your ass is going to The Dark Tournament

•Human or no

•His one condition is that you’re down with the team, not in the stands with all the demons that hate him

•It honestly makes him fight just a little harder•He doesn’t want to lose in front of you

•(and he knows if his opponent is enough of a douche and he loses then the team will have several problems stemming from you wanting to kick some asses)

•His last couple fights are the ones that really get to you•And when you saw him actually become Yoko Kurama?

•You’re speechless

•(and probs really even more jealous of his hair)

•When that fight is over and he’s coming back to the team he’s almost afraid of what you’ll think

•But is instantly reassured when you run up and hug him

•(he’ll never really openly admit it but he loves your hugs)

•(you know)

•His fight with Touya and his team really threw you through a loop

•(and pissed you off)

•If they thought they were just gonna get away with hurting your best friend with all that they were very mistaken

•A plot for massive human on demon revenge is awaiting

•(You actually really like Jin though so he’s safe)

•Especially when Mr. Sweaty comes in and tries to fight him while he’s still passed the fuck out

•And his fight with Karasu?

•Lil shit better be glad your boy killed his ass

•When the battle is declared over you’re the first one to his side

•He’s instantly in your arms

•(it honestly really surprises him)

•You know it matters to them but you don’t care whether he won or lost

•You’re just so glad he’s alive

•He feels no shame passing out in your arms

•He knows he’s safe

•Girl or boy, you’re the one carrying his pretty ass off that battle stage

•Yusuke gets a big ol glare when he tries to take your boy away

•Team member or no

•You make it very clear he’s staying with you•You don’t leave his side for the rest of the tournament

•And when that bitch starts comin down?

•You’re the first one on his list of priorities•He’s getting you out of there even if he has to crawl through the fires of hell

•You’re really hoping there’s a calm after the storm

•(of course there probably isnt but you can hope right?)

•(you were right)

•(theres no calm)

•You’re there for the whole nerd violence scene

•(almost kicked some bitch nerd ass)

•(kurama sensed this which earned you that 'god, please don’t do the thing’ look)

•(he’s pretty much all of your impulse control)

•No matter how much he disapproves you’re going with them to help save Yusuke

•Due to the fact that everyone’s souls gettin snatched you know to just keep your mouth shut

•(even without that look kurama gives you)

•And when Kurama gets all his plants to grow while the lil shit’s using the john, you hide and stay still as to not risk giving anything away

•(although you kinda regret it cause you really want to know what he did to make the guy laugh so hard)

•You constantly beg to know

•He still won’t tell you

•And any attempts to ask Kaito just result in another laughing fit

•Kurama will all but lock you in your own home when the whole thing with Sensui is going down

•He even gets his mother to check up on you

•(lil shit told her you 'were very ill and shouldn’t leave the house’)

•Due to you being her son’s best friend, she cares for you deeply and instead of just having you stay home alone, she had you stay with her so she could care for you

•(you still vow revenge on plant boy)

•(he knows somethings coming for him)

•When you find out what happened with game master you (temporarily) forget about him putting you under house arrest and give him this kinda awkward hug

•(it’s not that he doesn’t appreciate it)

•(dude just had a whole whiplash event)

•And when his old pal comes into the picture?

•You actually ask him if there’s any other friends you should know about

•(he never answered)

•(you never pushed)

•Boy is defs not letting you come to Demon World

•Even if it is with him

•No no no no

•Not even if you beg

•Yomi will (and does) use you against him

•He’s just really glad you’re not the one that got possessed by that parasite demon

•You’re extremely happy when he come back for that visit

•(and so subsequently pretty down when he leaves again)

•But you know he can take care of himself

•Especially with the others around

•When he finally actually comes back he tells you about everything that happened

•(you’re kinda upset you missed that tournament)

•(he’s not)
