Shungite
Over the weekend, as I walked through the busy streets, going in and out of small store, a crescent moon necklace caught my eye. It was black, sleek, and simple. I was quite hesitant of buying it, but I kept coming back to it. The owner explained to me that it was made of a mineraloid called Shungite. Needless to say I bought it with little understanding of what Shungite actually was. However, I have done some research and decided to share a simple explanation of what its uses are.
It is a rare, non-crystalline carbon mineral, originally discovered and then used in the region of Karelina, Russia. It is the only natural mineral that contains fullerenes, which is when carbon molecules are bound together by powerful antioxidants
It is known for its purifying, grounding, healing, and protective properties
It detoxifies and purifies the body, mind, and soul
protects and transforms EMFs (electromotive forces released by technology)
relieved stress and anxiety
helps with insomnia
It's grounding affects aid in balancing the left and right side of the body, which is linked to the root chakra
blocks/absorbs negative energy
amplifies meditation and magick
