Thought that I should represent Team Crystals a bit more (because I love learning about and collecting crystals irl) so every set of 5 attacks, I'm going to post the OC that I drew alongside the crystal they remind me of!

Lamprey (@/deep4ried) reminds me of Shungite, known as 'The Miracle Stone', which symbolises strength!

And finally, Galaxy/Lucid (@/GalaxyXD) reminds me of Labradorite, known as 'The Stone of Magic', which symbolises transformation!

I know this is a super weird thing to do but I have to flex my crystal knowledge somehow 🔮🌟

shungite - let's talk about it for a second

it's a mineraloid that is predominantly carbon but contains other heavy metals like lead, cadmium, arsenic, and nickel, to name a few.

you'll often see it marketed for water purification because of its antimicrobial properties, but this is kind of moot because it leeches out just as many heavy metals as it absorbs bacteria (unless it's washed for several days in a row).

it has some pseudoscientific claims to treat illness but the real science behind shungite is the presence of fullerenes in its chemical composition.

fullerenes are hollow, spherical molecules made up of carbon. i'm not a chemist so i'm not even gonna try to get into specifics here but!!!!

fullerenes are being studied for use in medicine - we're talking HIV drugs, therapies for drug resistant infections, targeted therapies for cancer, and photodynamic therapy; it has been shown to have a positive response in tumor shrinkage and metastasis inhibition plus a bunch more anti-cancer properties.

anyway, as cool as this information is, please don't drink shungite water.

update i fell asleep wearing this before i finished writing this post and i had some WEIRD dreams and i never dream very vividly anymore. but i forgot some of them before i could write them all down. they're not like super interesting or riveting so i won't post them unless they become relevant later lol. part of me thinks they will bc a lot of weird shit transpired yesterday just as i was wondering why things felt so calm lol

UPDATE loki did not like this one and in my tarot reading this morning gave me a much needed yet very hard hitting and sarcastic message that basically boiled down to "stop practicing catholicism if you aren't catholic anymore" WHICH GODDAMNIT HES RIGHT BUT AHHH so hard to move away from something that shaped your whole worldview even if you don't actively practice it anymore
