Ethiopia’s #ShuraKitata 🇪🇹 and #BrigidKosgei of Kenya 🇰🇪 won the 2020 London Marathon as the great #EluidKipchoge’s marathon winning streak came to an end! In the men’s race, there were a group of guys together late in the race instead of the usual 2 or 3 guys fast-paced by #Kipchoge whenever he’s in the race. Kitata was the first man to make a move and go for the win when seemingly everyone else was expecting and waiting for #Kipchoge to make a move. Kitata deserved the win and hats off to him! In the women’s race, the race favorite and WR holder Kosgei remained on her top position, but a spectacular finish and probably the #Performance_of_the_Day came from Sara Hall (@sarahall3 ) of the USA 🇺🇸, out-kicking world champion, Ruth Cheptngetich of Kenya 🇰🇪 to finish 2nd and become the first US athlete on the podium since 2006 with time which ranks her #6 US all-time!
