Shut x Fem! Pretty Cure! Reader Oneshot
Synopsis: Your confession had backfired. Oh bother...
"Shut, I...I like you."
.....huh?
"I like you. As more than a friend. Shut, I-"
"I'm sorry-!"
"Shut?!"
"Oi, Shut?! Where are you going?!"
Just run.
Keep running.
That's all his body told him.
Shut continued to run, dashing outside of Noble Academy's main campus and deep into the woods that reside around the property, leaving you standing under the cherry blossom trees. Alone.
The confused shouts of Lock continued to echo while Shut heavily panted, his legs screaming as the poor man continued to drag them to who knows where. His legs began to slow down as Shut's panting became slower and slower, resting his hand against one of the many trees. The only sound that could be heard were the residing sounds of nature's precious creatures along with Shut's breathing, his hand slowly curling into a fist. "What am I doing...?" Shut muttered to himself, gently resting his head against a tree.
"That's what I wanna know," hissed the scarf Shut wore. "It was just a confession, Shut. Why'd you run?"
Why did he run? Shut clenched the frills of his white shirt, constantly cursing at himself while his companion stared at his faltering expressions. "Oh...Shut-"
"What?"
"...I thought you liked her or something," Lock asked, attempting to shift his scarf body to be more comfortable. "I thought you felt the same way as her. Why did you run?"
Shut merely stood in silence, slowly collapsing onto the ground and resting against the trunk of the tree. "I...I don't know..."
"You kept asking Miss Shamour for help with this kinda stuff- you kept working on your own confession for weeks, so why-"
"I don't know!" Shut shouted, grasping at his head and covering his face with said hands. "I don't know..."
"Shut!"
Your voice echoes within the woods as Shut slowly looks up to see your figure running towards him. You panted as you finally caught up, grasping at your jeans before taking a deep breath and facing him. "There you are...!"
Shut quickly glanced away, wiping the tears from his eyes. "How did you find me..?"
"Dumb luck," you awkwardly chuckled, scratching your forearm. "Shut...are you okay...?"
"Please..." he whispered. "Don't look at me."
"...Lock?" you asked, turning towards the scarf. "What happened?"
"Since Shut won't say anything, I'll do it for him. He likes you back."
"Lock!" Shut screamed, grasping at the scarf and blushing. If Lock still had a body, you could imagine him shrugging and sticking out his tongue. "Why did you-?!"
"Who else would?" Lock hissed. "You're not gonna-"
Slowly, you approached the man. "May I sit next to you, Shut?" Shut merely nodded as you took a seat next to him against the tree, gently attempting to reach for his hand. "Shut...I-"
"I'm horrible, (Y/N)." Shut finally spoke. "I...I'm sorry for running away like that."
"It's alright, I understand-"
"It's not alright." Shut interrupted, clenching his fists once more. "I've hurt you, your friends, and your family in the past. I tried to kill you. Everyone. Why...do you love me?"
You sat in silence as you tried to think of an answer, later sighing. "...I don't know myself. But maybe...it's cause of your eyes?" you sheepishly answered. "I like how dramatic they are. And I love how passionate you can be. I love how hard working you are too."
"...is that enough?"
"Maybe," you shrugged. "But to me, it is."
"But I-"
"So what if you hurt me before?" you asked. "The past is the past, Shut. It's fine, I promise. Things have changed, Shut. You've changed. You're no longer that person you were back then."
"...(Y/N)..."
"So Shut," you spoke, giving him a heartwarming smile. "I'll still love you, no matter what. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable when I confessed to you. I wanted to tell you my feelings before me and the others leave with my friends for summer break. And...maybe.." you blushed, glancing at the floor. "I was wondering if...you would like to stay with me during the summer...?"
Shut's eyes widened, gazing at your form that was slowly being lit up by the setting sun. "You...wish for me to stay with you?"
"If...that's alright with you.."
Shut closed his eyes and took a deep breath, gently grasping your hand. "I...would love that."
Your eyes began to sparkle as you began to grin. "So-!"
"..I accept." Shut nodded, soon getting on one knee and bowing towards you. "And this time, I swear to never run again. I promise I will protect you with all of my heart, my liege."
"Shut..."
"Hey uh-" Lock blinked, scaring the both of you. "Did you guys forget I was still here?!"
"Sorry Lock!"
"Shush Lock! Let us have this moment for a bit longer!"

Shut really loves doing makeup with you! Whether he’s doing yours, or vice versa, he’s ecstatic! It’s not just that he likes makeup, but it gives him an excuse to be close to your face.
He’d spend every second with you if he could. You’re his favorite person! He only goes home if he has to. So most of his time is spent with you.

Just the thought of having to choose a favorite feature of yours makes him anxious. He simply can’t! Every bit of you is beautiful in his eyes!

Shut feels what you feel. He’s extremely sympathetic. So if you’re crying, he cries with you.
It’s not very helpful when it comes to panic attacks, though. He has to calm himself down before he’s able to comfort you properly. Otherwise, you’d just have two people panicking.
When it comes to comforting you, he’s so sweet. He never lets go of you— making sure you know he’s there. He talks you through it as well. He tells you how much he loves you, and that you’ll be okay.

Shut’s only wish is that he can be with you for the rest of his life. He’s pretty flexible with anything else. He does not want kids, though.

While he wishes he could be the dominant one, he’s too much of a pushover when it comes to you. He follows you like a puppy— answering your every call. You make the decisions, and he listens and obeys.
He feels slightly pathetic for this. He wishes he could be someone you see as your Prince Charming, not a clingy servant. But even so, he’s happy.

As stubborn as Shut can be, that’s all thrown out the window when it comes to you.
He avoids fighting with you as much as possible. He’s so eager to please you, that you could say that the sky is pink, and he’d agree.
But even so, emotions can take over, and arguments break out. He’s super whiny and bratty when this happens.
Even if he truly believes that he’s in the right, he’d never stay mad at you. Just the fact that you’ve fought makes him depressed. He can’t bear the thought of you being mad at him— let alone the reality. So he’s quick to forgive and apologize.

He’s grateful for you just existing. So it’s safe to say that he’s always showing his gratitude for you. No act goes unnoticed by him. He’s always thanking you for any little thing you do for him.

Shut wouldn’t dare hide anything from you. He thinks keeping a secret from you might as well be the same as cheating. He couldn’t even if he tried. He ends up caving in from pure guilt.

He totally gets jealous. He knows it’s not your fault, but he just can’t help it. For a while, he’s perfectly fine. But the longer your attention is focused on someone else, the more restless he gets.
While he doesn’t say anything, his mood is still very clear. He’s slouching, pouting, all of the above. When you’re not looking, he’ll use his flamboyance to intimidate whoever’s taking up your attention. But he never goes further than that.

Shut is a hopeless romantic, so you know he’s a good kisser. He’s definitely nervous, and a bit clumsy at first, but once he gets the hang of it, he takes your breath away.
While he’s given you hand kisses plenty of times before, your first real kiss was by you. He never dared touch your lips without permission, so it was bound to be that way. When you did it, he nearly passed out from the euphoria. He felt truly honored to be kissed by you. For the rest of the day, he had a dreamy expression on his face.

Shut’s very upfront about his feelings for you since the day you met. So the moment he developed feelings for you, you knew. All you had to do was reciprocate. When that did happen, though, he nearly passed away.

Shut’s most proudest achievement is being your boyfriend. So there’s no way he’d hide it. When introducing you to others, the first thing he says is that you’re his beautiful, amazing partner.
He most definitely brags about you to Close and Lock. But only when you’re not around. He doesn’t want to embarrass you!
As for showing affection in public, he doesn’t mind it one bit. When with you, it’s like nothing else matters to him. Also, it lets people know you’re taken, so that’s a bonus!

While he’s very cliche— doing the whole “kneeling while presenting you with a rose” thing— he does get clever with it as well. He always listens, so he remembers the little things you tell him. And he uses those to craft the perfect dates.

He’s a very polite man when it comes to you. So at first, he didn’t dare touch you. He waited for you to show signs of being comfortable with it. Once you did, he finally revealed his affectionate side.
He loves kissing and cuddling! He just adores you so much, how could he not? His favorite thing is to pepper your face with kisses— leaving black lipstick marks all over it. He always feels a bit bad afterwards, though. So he helps clean it off.

Simple— he doesn’t. When you’re gone, he feels as if you took his heart with him. He tries to be a strong, mature, adult man. But after about a day, he’s blowing up your phone with texts and calls, ranting about how much he misses you. Yes, he knows he’s pathetic.

Like mentioned before, he’d be willing to leave Dys Dark to be with you. And if he had to, he’d use his powers to fight anything in his way.
~ Shut acts all confident and bold, but when it comes to confessing his feelings, he gets quite shy and cowardly. Though, he does plan on doing it. He just wants to wait for the perfect moment, then he’ll gather all his courage and confess to you. If you beat him to it though, he’ll low-key be upset that he couldn’t do it. But he’s happy nonetheless.
~ Shut is needy. He needs lots of affection and attention. If he doesn’t get his daily dose, he gets really whiny. And if he thinks you’re not spending enough time with him, he’ll be upset.
~ He loves doing makeup with you! Makeup is one of his passions, so he wants to share it with you.
~ Shut is such a flatterer. He compliments you any chance he gets, as well as flirts. He’s really creative with his words, so you’re always happily surprised with his words of affection.
~ He buys you tons of gifts. Mostly flowers. In fact, he doesn’t even need to buy any flowers, because he seems to have an endless supply of roses. So pretty much every time you meet, he’ll pull a rose out thin air and hand it to you.
~ Shut gets super jealous. Whenever he does, he acts like a big baby. He pouts, and won’t talk to you until you give him more attention than the person you’re talking to.
~ He’s such a gentleman to you. He opens doors for you, kisses your hand, and like mentioned before, gives you flowers. He offers to do anything for you, even the smallest things. He once tried making breakfast in bed, but since he has no idea how to cook, it didn’t go well. He was pretty devastated about that. After that incident, he just sticks to things he knows how to do.
~ Shut is a dramatic baby. He acts like his whole life is ruined at any minor inconvenience. If you show little or no sympathy when he wallows in despair at these things, he sees it as betrayal or you not caring about him anymore. But don’t worry, that doesn’t last too long. Within an hour or so, he’s back to normal. In fact, he acts like it never happened.
