So in the beginning of Shrek 2 we see Prince Charming arrive at Fiona's former tower, talking about how difficult it was to find
And he mentioned it was called "the dragon's keep" In Shrek we saw Shrek dodge Dragon and have this whole scene and everything
But Charming just appears, unscorched, and never fought anything. He just hang glided on over
And then did his hair flip

Then more to the point he finds out that Fiona has gone on her honeymoon and he was too late
And Fiona was locked away for how many years? Well the movies never really say but the musical says when she was seven and then sixteen years later Shrek rescues her.
And Charming had a horse. Shrek walked the whole way there
So what took Charming so long in the first place? Yes he was 7 at the time but he would have been 17 a decade later, which is when most people go about rescuing damsels in distress.
so not only did he put off rescuing Fiona, he also didn't go through the proper trials, and his travel montage sucked.
Point being: Shrek is the Ogrelord!
